The hotel is clean, quiet and has newer furnishings. Nice breakfast. We stayed two nights and the first night our plan was to go sit in the hot tub and relax. We could not find the button to start hot tub so I went to front desk and asked. I was told the jets do not work and haven't since he has worked there. I stated that we would not have booked this hotel if we had known this. No other effort was made to compensate us etc. I questioned again the next day with a different staff and got the same vague and uncaring answer. He did give me the business card to the owner which I will be contacting. So don't stay here if you want to enjoy the hot tub. Didn't see anyone in pool our entire stay either.

Great staff. First person at the desk made me smile and told me all about their rewards program and took the time not to rush through it. The free cookies were to die for and breakfast was fabulous. . Only issues were my hot tub plug would not keep water in. When I called the front desk at 11pm the male did not care and so as I asked when the manager would be there he claimed not to know then said he would come up to look at it. This did not make me and my daughter feel comfortable for a man to come up at 11pm at night who clearly did not know what he was doing and had already showed he did not care. No discount was offered even the next morning when I told the receptionist. Also my shower in the morning did not get hot. I shared this and was told they don't have problems with the shower getting hot even when others are all using it. Still nothing done to make it right.

We didn't actually stay here. Though the description says "pet friendly", they don't take cats, so we had to rebook nearby.

Nice place, I especially liked the hardwood floors in the room and the elevator -- don't know that I've ever seen that before. Hot tub jets could use a little caffeine, but the breakfast was terrific, eggs and sausages in addition to the standard waffles, fruit, biscuits, donuts, etc.

Great location, clean facilities and room. But pricing felt like twice what it should be based on my having stayed in hundreds of hotels and motels over the years. Another oddity is that the bathtub is in the bedroom (!!) for reasons unknown.

Staff needs to work on their people skills, overall the room was great, the breakfast was a disaster..

Have stayed here before, it has been updated, very nice rooms, staff friendly

We were greeted right away and allowed to check in early in order to keep medical appointments. Great breakfast and a quiet room despite being so close to the I-35 freeway.

The hotel needs some updates. Carpets in the hallway had a lot of spots. Hot tub was lukewarm. We needed a suite as we were traveling with a baby. The suites were one large room with no door separating the rooms.

The hotel was nothing special. Room decor was unattractive. There was not a microwave, which we thought was really unusual. In their favor, we were allowed to stay past the regular checkout time due to a doctor's appointment running late, even though they had a sold-out weekend to prepare for.

The hotel was very nice. We had some "minor" issues with the whirlpool but we were still able to use it. Breakfast was nice and the gal working the front desk that morning was a delight! Will definitely stay again!

I was traveling for business, the hotel is average at best. If your just looking for a place to lay your head, it's okay for that, nothing special, needs some TLC. The wake up call system was 45 minutes late waking me up, then it tried to convince me that it really was 5:45am when it was truly 6:30am, almost missed my appointment that I had driven 7 hours to attend. Front desk said sorry....not much support there either.

Everything that we needed for our stay.

Short Stay, room was clean. Make sure to stay away from elevator and ice machinces..very noisy

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed and ensured a speedy check-in and check-out. Our room was spotless with a whirlpool spa and it was fabulous! Updated decor, well-stocked room, fantastic temperature for the spa, quiet atmosphere (and there was a bus of kids there, though we never heard them). I felt safe and welcome in this hotel! It was very easy to find and about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Des Moines. There were many restaurants within walking distance and the internet was really quick! I would definitely stay here again, whether for business, family getaway, or a romantic stay with my husband! Wonderful hotel!

The hotel staff were very helpful. we had forgotten to bring directions to various places we were going to visit. the staff (more than once) printed out directions for us. the hotel was very quiet and very clean

Very large, clean, tastefully decorated rooms. Super convenient to the interstate. Will definitely will stay there again.

Our room was clean. The hotel was quiet at night, even with a Little League team staying there! But the hallways were dirty. Small popcorn pieces were present on the carpet up and down the hallways, in addition to small pieces of paper and cellophane. Breakfast was good, with a large selection. The only problem was that the toaster was in an adjoining room, not on the breakfast bar with the other food.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were impressed with how clean the hotel was. The rooms were very comfortble alhtough a refrigerator would have been a nice addition. The compimentary breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of choices. I really liked the fresh waffles. They had a full attendant in the breakfast area to make sure that there was always plenty of each item available. It was easy to get to right off the interstate and there were lots and a nice variety of eating establishments nearby.

Dear Anonymous, I am glad you enjoyed our rooms and amenities. I am sorry you did not find a jacuzzi tub with jets as you expected. Ours is a simple hot tub with circulating hot water but no jets. A hot tub.
