It was clean, convienent and economical.
I made a reservation through Orbitz for a standard 1 king room. I checked in and went to the room and found out that it was a 2 queen room. I thought it was a mistake so I went to the front desk to have it corrected. The front desk clerk informed me they gave away my reservation and had no more standard kings. I asked if i could pay the difference for a king suite and was told i could but needed to go through Orbitz to do so. After 3 hours of Orbitz trying to negotiate with the front desk clerk they had to move me to a new hotel because ge was being uncooperative.
The hotel is using pandemic as an excuse to cut essential service to guests. No cleaning service provided. Had to empty my own trash and handle their laundry responsibilities. Went to ask for fresh towel from desk, got argument and policy quotes. I go on vacation to vacation, not do the hotels work. Bad policy!
The breakfast was a disaster with very slim choices. They had no fruit, burnt eggs, and no doughnuts or muffins. The hotel appeared to be understaffed.
The room was large and comfortable. What I did not like was that I was supposed to be able to pay at the hotel (as stated on the confirmation), however the hotel charged my card before I got there - I was not planning on using that card for the hotel. I called the hotel directly and they said it was their policy. I called Orbitz, who then called the hotel and got the same answer. The hotel didn't offer to refund and recharge with another card or anything, just kept saying it was policy. That is not what the confirmation said online. Not a big fan of false advertisement and will not be using this hotel chain again. The hotel was nice in itself, but not a fan of choosing to pay at the hotel, and then the hotel deciding they would remove the funds before I even checked in. Bad business to do things this way.
I travel for business stay here once a month, they are great at Customer service. Always willing to go the extra to make my stay comfortable. Great staff. They work hard at keeping the place looking good and in good repair.
We drove in to spend day at beach and I really really appreciated the fact that I didn’t have to rush to check in so we could enjoy the time at park. Only one suggestion is to provide guests with tickets or wrist band for breakfast instead of the current set up. I will definitely be back to stay here though!
I like that it was so clean! When we were at the beach they came and made our beds and made it nice. The beds were comfortable also. Didnt like that there was no room service but totally understandable with this Covid going on
This was a nice, clean and very friendly Holiday Inn. All the staff was friendly and very helpful..
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I really liked having a 12:00 check out without asking for it. The rooms were very clean and updated.
I needed a room over the 4th of July weekend to attend and help produce a beach-side wedding in Aransas Pass. It was a super hot weekend, Rockport was hosting their annual Art Festival, the crowds were enormous, and the wait for the ferry to Aransas Pass was 1+30 hr each way. But the hotel was the perfect getaway -- clean, superb amenities, good breakfast, location avoided the ferry -- I was very pleased. And when I didn't have the right tool for the task, the hotel maintenance man even helped me assemble a decorative wagon for the wedding,
All the staff were really nice and accomodating. Helped us find fun things to do in the area. The room was big enough for the 3 of us. and right across from the water we were 5 min away from everything local and 30 min away from the special trip activities. Thank you holiday inn.
Easy check-in and they let me check in a few hours early! Room was as described and very clean. The free hot breakfast was also great! I wouldn't mind staying here again!
Great staff service and had a great time. Hotel did not have Bay Views and parking was sometimes taken up by a truck towing a boat but it was close to everything and well worth the stay.
We stayed at this hotel in its old incarnation. The new hotel is lovely- all shiny and new. Love the location right across from the beach / park. Only complaint is the parking - we had 2 boats and they hogged up a total of 16 spaces. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed 3 nights - overall a nice (new) and clean place. Nice breakfast. 2 negative comments: 1. The hotel staff liked to stand out front and smoke and as a result, the guests had to walk through the smoke when coming and going, 2. You will hear every "thump" and "bump" from the guests staying on the floor above you.
Staff was polite. Rooms were clean. Nice breakfast. Pool water was cloudy but thats what happens when children are in it all day. My husband cleans pools for a living so we know what causes that. We chose not to swim in the pool. Other than that, it was a nice experience

I am really sorry for Inconvenience for third party reservation whatever is available room we give it to guest we not guaranteed to give same room type which you book but we try to keep same room or upgrade your room again sorry for your inconvenience

However I do apologize for the miscommunication there seems to be, as explained to Orbitz and guest as well.. per hotel policy (which is a standard for all hotels) on day of arrival we Authorize payment for all reservations as we must have a guarantee of payment to hold a room for guest otherwise that is when cancellation policy comes into effect as we cannot guarantee a reservation without a valid method of payment which is why when booking, we strongly encourage guests to use the correct card they would like for payment. However, at the time of check in you are more then welcome to change the method of payment but the other payment that was authorized only and not charged does take a few business days for it to be released depending on your banks authorization policy standards themselves. I hope this clears up any questions or miscommunication there was between the hotel and cardholder. Thank you for staying with us here at Holiday Inn Express!
