A co-worker and I stayed here for business at nearby Ft Benning. The hotel was ok, just not the greatest surroundings. Staff at the front desk was always friendly and helpful. There is a small workout room, with 1 of 2 treadmills broken. Strange for only 1 elevator as well for the size of the hotel. The room was clean and well stocked. Warm water came quickly, but I could never get the cooling adjusted properly. I was either too cool, or warm. Must be the placement of the thermometer. Good value for the money though.

Booked this place a few days ahead of time based upon reviews and pictures. We travel a lot and have no complaints at all. The room had a stove, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. I was told at check-in that breakfast was NOT included. I missed that little detail, but honestly, we usually have oatmeal and our own coffee anyway. Room 405 exceeded my expectations. Clean and nothing out of place. Did not notice any security concerns outside the hotel. Found the fitness center one night and enjoyed the selection of free weights. Also have treadmills if you enjoy that kind of thing. Laundry is right there if you need it. You can check out a DVD at the desk if you're in a movie mood. Missy was our go-to person several times. Great customer service, like it used to be. Some worker in the elevator with us even asked how our stay was going. Staff seems to really care about the guests. Christina checked us out and wish us well upon leaving. Both are tops in making a guest feel wanted.

I was very pleased with my stay at The Candlewood Suites in Columbus Georgia Fort Benning! The staff was super friendly and accommodating during my check in, and I even signed up for their free Rewards program. I love free Rewards! Because I had a scheduling problem they let me have a late check-out with no problem. The property itself is beautiful. The lobby is warm and cozy and a great place to have morning coffee. They also have a great outdoor pool and a workout room with lots of free weights and elliptical machines. My hotel suite was perfect. It was spacious and comfortable with a full refrigerator, microwave, stove top and pans to cook with, and a coffee maker. The TV had a broad range of cable channels and a full HBO package. This hotel has everything you need especially if you're staying for a few days. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

This hotel is really great place to stay. I spend almost two weeks here the service is really good, the stuff is super friendly, a lady in the front disc ( Ashley) was very helpful when i asked her about the GYM and other section of the hotel. She was supper kind and I never saw a friendly front disc person like her in and out side US during my stay. I staid here and the felling i got was just like home. It is a cool place to stay in Columbus and the other plus point is that, it is near to restaurants and Walmart where you can buy any thing you want. Mir Wais Jalalzai

Save for the kind staff, there is nothing good or safe about this hotel. First, our non-smoking room smelled of old, stale smoke. Second, the hotel is located in a very rundown, dangerous community. Third, there are no close by restaurants or places of interest. Fourth, even though some improvements to the rooms have been made, this is definitely not a hotel we will choose again.

The hotel was severely outdated. The ONLY upgrades it had was the lobby. The lobby of the hotel is very contradicting to the rooms we stayed in. A beautifully updated lobby and old raggedy rooms. The furniture was old and tore up. It advertised having a pull-out sofa but it wasn't in the room. There was a lounging chair in its place. It had old carpet like no one had replaced it in years or had it cleaned. The bathroom tub had a hole in it like it had been kicked in. And to top it all off my sister in law saw a roach in her room. It was the end all be all. They comped us for our first couple of nights and sprayed to get rid of the bugs. They explained they were getting the necessary upgrades next year but...that wasn't helping us at this point. We ended up leaving the hotel and staying at the Country Inn & Suites.

We booked our rooms through a third party and when we arrived we found the rooms to be nice but could use some updates. Bathtub was patched and needed to be replaced, had a worn out piece of carpet with the edging broken due to the chair rolling over it and the chair was peeling badly to the point that everytime you sat in the chair, it got on your clothes. We dealt with it until the third day when my son and daughter in law found roaches in their room. We immediately let the front desk know and I also called the third party we booked through. They found us another hotel and we moved there on the same day.

The staff and hotel were very nice. Room was very clean. However , never been to a hotel that you have to use key card at front door at night. There appeared to be security guard in a truck all night. I was somewhat concerned about our vehicle and our safety.

My son gave the Ultimate Sacrifice in 2003 and his career started at Fort Benning. For his 36th birthday I came back to honor him. My car was parked 4 spaces from the main door of the hotel. It was broken into though they say they have good security.

Went to visit my son who was graduating from boot camp. Found out that we had an extra day so had to scramble to find a hotel. Talked to Tricia at Candlewood Suites and she looked up my frequent travel number and held the room for us. The room was fantastic and she even suggested a restaurant nearby which turned out to be a diamond in the rough. Excellent choice Tricia. Later that night my grandson had an upset stomach and ended up leaving a mess on our personal king size blanket. The complimentary washers did the job but the dryers really couldn't handle that size of a blanket. Tricia allowed me to use the heavy duty dryer used for the hotels linens. Worked perfectly. She had it drying while we spent the day with our son. Came back and loaded everything up and headed out back to Texas. Thank you Tricia for making a hectic day turn out beautiful. Will stay here again next time I come through.
