Disappointing Check-in

The initial check-in process was a horrible experience with this property and host. No information was shared prior to check-in and I even messaged the host a few times with no response. I made it to the end of the cancellation/refund process before I received check-in information from the host. This was 2 hours after I was suppose to be checked into the property. At arrive the property was clean and up to expected standards, but the yard needed to be mowed before it could be used. A few days into our stay we received a knock on the door at 11pm in the evening. I was concerned to answer the door that late, so I waited. Thankfully this property seems to be in a good/safe location. I eventually opened the door and an older couple booked the same property with the another rental company. Not sure if this was error on hosts side or a technology issue. Based on my experience I would not recommend staying at this property. Maybe the miscommunication issue was a one time error.
