Last year when we stayed there the lobby & breakfast room were under renovation. Well, it is now finished & looks great. They even added an elevator to get to the second floor. Wonderful idea! Check-In was easy, no issues. Our room was upgraded because we are Choice Hotels Gold members & that was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was near to the highway & yes you can hear it if you don't have the fan on, but it was warm outside & we used the ac, no problem. The bed, bedding & towels were clean & fresh. The shower was very good, lots of hot water. We were there for five days & the free breakfast choices get rather boring, always scrambled eggs & sausages . Everyday the same thing. They should try to change it up some, maybe try to alternate between bacon & omelets. Just a suggestion! But, if you didn't want to eat there were many other restaurants on the same road. We will stay there again when visiting Chilliwack.
Hotel is amazingly clean, very pet friendly. We did not travel with a pet but saw a few well behaved dogs. Nice to see responsible dog owners cleaning up after their dogs. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. Eggs obviously powered, sausage mostly filler very salty. New elevator added since I was there last year. Rooms very clean, good selection of both Canadian and American tv. Staff very helpful and kind. See you next year!!
I suppose we might have forgiven the location since we could almost drown out the truck noise, day and night, if we turned the fan on high. But the Manager was rude when she called about our reservation before we arrived, and rude in person as well. She acted like she was doing us a favor! The ice machine was broken and the luggage trolley was "on order." We'll be back to Chilliwack, which is lovely, but not to the Comfort Inn.
Stayed there, one night, on the trip from Vancouver to Okanagan. The hotel was good, nothing special. After eating breakfast my both kids got a food poisoning and started to throw up. Not good. Not a good hotel if this happens.
We stayed here twice recently each for one night. Our first visit was impacted by the recent fires and there was not much to see. In fact we woke up the next morning to find ash falling from the sky. The hotel was clean, people were nice and the breakfast area was large and kept fully stocked and with both cold and hot options. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. WE had trouble with the refrigerator in one of the rooms which we did not become aware of until the next day when items were not in good condition. While the front desk staff was not too concerned or helpful, upon contacting the manager after the trip she apologized and offered a coupon for another night's stay in the future. We could not take advantage of this, but appreciate her response. Has a water slide which was sadly closed for maintenance when we were there. Chinese restaurant across parking area is pretty good and you can't beat the convenience.
Always on the go ? No time to go out and eat ? Well this place has a great continental breakfast ! I really enjoy their rooms and their breakfast ! Every time I've stayed they have had accommodating staff and friendly staff. I really appreciate that after a long days travel ! So nice to be greeted warmly every time !
Had to find a hotel for four last minute at midnight. They were amazing. Great service and helpful at midnight. Quick check in. Nice buffet breakfast. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. A bit noisy on the highway side in the morning though. Would stay here next time in town.
This is an average, old style two story hotel that has had a little updating in at least some rooms. It is average clean, the staff are okay, with the exception of the breakfast ladies, who are excellent. It was average clean, sort of what you would expect a 20 year old hotel building to be like. I have stayed at a number of Choice Hotels throughout North America and this was like one of the less attractive. What made it even less attractive was the cost of the room... rather pricey for this type of accommodation. Likely won't be back.
Came here while in Chilliwack for work. My company has an account with Comfort Inn so I've stayed at many, and they are all fairly similar. However one thing I've come to expect is that the room will have a microwave and mini-fridge but when I got to my room these were not there. There was a cabinet with spaces on it that were empty where the fridge and microwave would have gone. Also instead of Queen sized beds there were double beds in the room, which was fine but as a tall person I like the extra bit of mattress. And in most Comfort Inns I've stayed at they have lamps which have outlets built into them for you to plug in a laptop or cell phone, however not so in this room. In fact I had to unplug the coffee maker to use my laptop at the desk which was a little annoying. I got the impression that the hotel was at the tail end of some renovations. However since I wasn't paying I put up with it, but if I had been paying myself I would have been annoyed by these problems. All of that said however the bed was quite comfortable and they offered a nice breakfast in the morning with a breakfast room that was nicer than most.
Booked one night at this hotel and my friend was at the Travel lodge across the street (and paid a lot more money) - our room was not only way nicer, this hotel included a good breakfast and all the staff were really friendly. The young girl behind the desk, Hanna, gave us perfect recommendations for places to go with our kids.
