I will be reaching out to leave a complaint because I was misled by the marketing photos of the room I was getting. I was supposed to have a preferred king and the room I received though the general manager said was marked as a preferred king looked exactly like a deluxe king on the photo. There was no separate sitting area with couch. He couldn’t move me because he claimed the hotel was fully booked for the night.
Hotel appearance is dated and a little dingy. Nowhere near enough staff for simple things like answering the phone or being available to tell me where to park (I tried calling for 20 min and there was no one available to ask in person). Broken elevators made for very long wait times in the morning. Fortunately my room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.
I have been going to allegro for about 10years to the opera season with Kimpton and i see a big difference The place is not very clean, place is clearly short staffed though they are trying hard. I have to go to Chicago in march and having second thoughts .i really hope you can bring it to what it was before under Kimpton. The restaurant was closed
Historic nature and vibe of the property was nice. would like to have had a dining options.
Loved the location, staff and accomodations were great. Would have liked a restaurant, but know they will be opening one soon
So close to theatre
We loved that it was next door to the theater
Great location! Excellent staff from doorman to room service, front staff and hotel bar was fantastic!
the hotel is beautiful however they don't offer room keeping service i had to go several times for garbage bags and towels and other ameneties it was frustrating I wish they would just have the service
This is a nice older property with an elegant style. The rooms are small but functional. Unfortunately, all on premise food and drink are shut down due to the pandemic. Fortunately there are a number of choices nearby. If you are looking for a good basic hotel in the downtown Chicago area, this is a good property.
The hotel was very nice looking. Much nicer than expected upon booking. They were nice all the way to the room, which was still nice but small. My boyfriend and I didn't mind since it was just the 2 of us and we were there for only one night. My biggest complaint is that I specifically request non-smoking rooms. I am hyper sensitive to cigarettes/cigars/vapeing... etc. This room DEFINITELY had a previous guest who did not care. Realistically, we were only in the room to sleep and shower the next day since we were in the city for an event so we did not complain or make a big deal out of the room at the time. I wish we had because the smell was so strong I was sick the next day and our luggage reeked once we got home. The staff were the most pleasant people I have met in a Chicago hotel so for that and just how perfect this location was- I would stay again. I just hope moving forward there are better measures taken if someone does smoke in a room.
Loved the friendlyness of the staff, however the room was quite small

Small and intimate. No amenities are available pretty sure due to covid.

Jorge, thank you so much for your loyalty! We really appreciate it. I am sorry to hear that you thought there was an issue with cleanliness. I will be sure to address this with the team as we still have the old KImpton Crew working for us. As for the staffing, we are working on finding the right team members to provide that awesome service we are know for.The good news is, 312 Chicago will re-open in March of 2023 and we look forward to welcoming you back!

Thank you for your feedback! I am so sorry to read that you felt misled. We do offer an array of room types, and while two rooms may be the same room type, they may not necessarily have the same furnishings in each. I am very sorry that this negatively impacted your time with us. I hope you will consider giving us another chance if you return to the area.
