The room took my wife’s breath away because it smelled so bad in the room. The bathroom light didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work. The bed looked like it was 50 years old. Had stains on it. We were looking for a very nice clean place to stay because my wife was having surgery the next day but that wasn’t the case. When I told the lady at the desk she said I’ll put in a work order which was stupid because we were there for 1 night! We ended up switching rooms. It was a little better but not that great. I was very disappointed to say the least.
Chose this hotel based on location and price. Price was definitely the cheapest in the area. Only needed a hotel for one night for a business trip so I wasn’t concerned with getting anything fancy, just a clean safe place to sleep for the night. Check in was fine and the staff member who checked me in was nice. I was given a room on the first floor. The hotel was quiet and I didn’t have any issues with noise. Upon entering my room I found that the window was wide open to the outside world (with no screen). Besides making the room extremely chilly (it was 30 degrees outside), I was on the first floor so did a quick check to make sure no one else was in the room with me. Thankfully, there was not. After that mini heart attack, I realized the room had several cleaning issues. The bathroom could have used a good deep clean. There were stains on the comforter after I folded it down. This was also not a comfortable room. There was no mattress pad on the bed. Simply a sheet over the mattress. Pillows were old and worn. There was also a privacy issue.....there was not an opaque thin curtain like 99% of hotels have over the window, in addition to the thicker light blocking curtain. So you could not have the windows open in the morning while you were getting ready unless you were fine with all of Schaumburg looking in at you. So I got ready in the dark with curtains fully drawn. There is a hot pad and fridge which I did not use so I cannot speak to how well they work but I imagine that would be nice if you were staying for more than a night. Free breakfast was another reason I chose this hotel. I don’t expect much from a free hotel breakfast, but this was comical. It was more of breakfast snacks. There was grab and go pouches of oatmeal (no bowls), granola bars, and pre packages muffins and coffee. No juice, water, cold cereal....nor any place to sit and eat any of these items. The positives were that it was cheap and a good location and staff was friendly. Next time I would spend a little more for a mattress pad on the bed and an unstained comforter and a chain that at least offers cereal and a chair.
The staff at this hotel is the best that I've experienced and I'm a seasoned traveler. When I needed assistance of any kind a friendly staff member went out of there way to assist without hesitation. 5 star service from a class act organization.
Staff wonderful from arrival to departure time. Room very clean, wifi worked great, kitchen was easy to use with necessary utensils, nice appliances to accommodate all of my meal preparations. Very clean, quiet suite.
This is surely a home away from home stay. From the moment I called to the moment I exited the establishment, I felt welcomed and cared. I truly loved the dishes provided for the kitchen and responsiveness to calls made. I happen to be a smoker, so I also was extremely thrilled that this location had a smoking section. We would definitely stay again and you should too.
I didn't like the cleanliness of the drawers and kitchen cabinets. The air conditioner was noisy and the room had a weird smell. The location is good and the staff is friendly. Somethings could be better.
I would like to thank you very much for Mr. Darrly , front desk staff. He is very nice and has service mind. My husband and I were impressed about the way he doing his job. We will stay here again, if we have to come to this area.
We took this hotel because we wanted a cheap get away. Not sure what to expect because we've stayed at the one at the other end of Golf Rd. and it was horrible. Got there earlier than checkin and we actually could. Went in the room very nice and clean. The customer service was great. They had a grab and go breakfast but there's a good breakfast place that we walked to. I could see my self going back there.
I stayed in this hotel for a whole month. The location is great since there is a lot to do around, walking distance from Woodfield Mall and about 40 different restaurant. And that is about all the good things this hotel has. Aside from some nice employees, not all, but the majority, everything is bad. I mean, for 50+ USD a night, I didn't expect much, however, there are some things that you expect as a minimum when staying in a hotel, and this one does not comply with those. Rooms are filthy, walls are thin so you can basically can hear and smell whatever is going on in neighboring rooms, etc. I'm going back to Schaumburg, and definitely not staying in Extended Stay.
