This hotel is remodeling and there is construction going on! We stayed overnight and the room was comfortable! The staff are very helpful and friendly! We also were there for there Wednesday social which included Gumbo, salad, rice and cookies for dessert and beer and wine! Outstanding! The hot breakfast was a very good ( better than most hotels) , the variety of food was spectacular! Real plates ( not paper plates) which is a winner in my book!!!!!!
Traveled to Mt. Pleasant for a wedding at Boone Hall Plantation and had a great stay here at this hotel. Breakfast was delicious and offered multiple options. Located near a lot of shopping and dining choices. My only complaint was I heard a lot of noise in the middle of the night due to people switching rooms or leaving.
We evacuated to SC from FL due to Hurricane Irma threatening our home. We literally picked this place because it had availability! We really got lucky! They allow dogs (ours was 14 & 65 lbs so important to us) and offered a great location. Movie theater, restaurants, stores, all around this area. Kids enjoyed the rooms and most importantly, the staff could not have been nicer. Many of us evacuees were there and they did such a great job even though SC was getting some of the outer storm bands as well. The rooms were typical Residence Inn rooms. Excellent location and staff.
These hospitality team members of the hotel put a lot of efforts to make our stay to be superb or at least enjoyable. We learned a lot of horrible stories from our friends that Hampton Inn Mt Pleasant Isle of Palms is horrible and worst. Luckily, we stayed at the right hotel. We relieved with our right choice.
Front desk staff is very nice and helpful. That's about all I can say for this hotel. Looks old, feels dirty. Really needs a facelift. I had a room on the bottom floor overlooking the road, and was woken up each day by the morning traffic. The pool was cloudy and just not inviting at all What's up Marriott?
We stayed w/my sister-in-law at this well-maintained Marriott residence in Mt. Pleasant Town Center during the Eclipse 2017 and were very happy with the accommodations, staff, and the extensive as well as varied complimentary breakfast. Marriott usually does great buildings but all of the staff here were among the best we've ever encountered, especially the breakfast room folks who went the extra mile every time for us and all the guests.
While in town for a meeting, I stayed at the Residence Inn. I was impressed with how nice everyone was and most impressed by the huge, wonderful breakfast with so many choices of food. Shirley in the kitchen was especially helpful and nice. Exceeded expectations!
I stayed in this hotel for over a week. The price per night was around 170$ which is too expensive for what you get. THE GOOD - really big room with nice little kitchen and a fridge - there are 2 computers available with a printer next to the reception - free dining on mon/tue/wed which is included in the price - 2 kinds of fresh fruit available of breakfast, tasted very good - mall next to the hotel and restaurants THE BAD - very limited breakfast. After 3 days you're tired of it. Always the same 3 options of cereal and yoghurt. Could be better for the price - the room smelled really hard. At first I thought it was a smokers room, but I think because the humidity of the climate, the room smells like wet carpet - the room itself felt very old fashioned. Wallpaper was not very clean, couldn't close the door to the bathroom, the bed made noise every time you turned - the location is not convenient if you don't have a car. There is a mall nearby the hotel but you have to cross multiple parking lots. Some people even asked if we were lost because most people drive and don't walk. - downtown is quite far away. There is a bus stop nearby and for 2 dollar you will get there in an hour. Bus is only 1 time an hour though. The nearby beaches are also very far and you can't get there with public transportation. You have to take a taxi or uber. - I could hardly sleep at night because there was music playing ALL NIGHT from the swimming pool. 24/7 there was loud music playing outside and you could hear it inside even with the windows closed - don't even think about sleeping after 8 am on sunday morning because the gardener is then working
The hotel is slightly dated and the cost was almost $200 a night. We did request a king when we made the reservation but no one told us that they do not have king beds. Housekeeping services were average. We had to empty our kitchen trash 2 out of the 4 days. The breakfast is very good and they provide different foods daily. It is pet friendly for an extra $100. Room was a nice size.
I was waiting on my new house to close and delays kept me out for 15 nights. So the Residence Inn was my home. We had a 1BR Suite, A very positive experience overall. Helpful staff. Easy access to numerous restaurants. Only two negatives for me. No room safe. And I am a bit disabled, I had a disabled room that was totally fine except for some strange reason it is located as far from the elevators as possible but I managed. They have a nice breakfast and some evening hordevours and lite noshes...welcome when we just felt like staying in. We had our small dog with us and they were very accommodating with a little welcome doggy treat bag. The only reason I doubt I will stay again is my new home is only a few isles away.
