Compared to the night before, this was spectacular. Big rooms. A clerk that asked about our trip and gave recommendations. All in all, I was very satisfied and would not hesitate to stay here again. However, there were problems that could not be ignored. First, our party of 3 only got 2 sets of towels. They corrected it both nights. But, it was BOTH nights. If there were 3 dirty sets and the guests didn't leave, why would you only leave 2 sets? Also, there was not a fan in the bathroom. And the pancake maker was broken the last morning. Finally, the elevator rocked a bit much for me to feel totally secure on it. However, all of this to say it wasn't perfect, but the good far outweighed the bad. Good breakfast. Spacious dining area. Plenty of room to stretch out in the bedroom and a roomy bathroom. VERY close to food and shopping. (Ryan's buffet is next door and TGI Friday's is a close walk).
The hotel itself shows a little wear and tear but the room was really clean and comfortable. Typical room, nothing amazing but nothing negative to say. The best part of this hotel is the location. There's just about any restaurant you can imagine as well as lots of shopping. If you are in the area to do other things and just need a place to eat and sleep, this hotel is perfect. I think the rate I paid was a little too much for a HIX but it ended up being more important to stay close to my destination than how much I paid.
Hotel is nice, second time in two weeks I stayed here for work. Room this week, I checked in massive cover smell Monday with air freshener. Get back from work second night, non smoking room smells like an ashtray. Did not report the issue because I did not want to have to pack up all my belongings and move to another room not connected to a smoking room or one not smoked in. Wont stay again.
Hotel was not busy at all. Breakfast area was not busy. Food was good and hot. Front desk staff was helpful. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Plenty of pillows. Room was spacious. Plenty of parking. Nice hotel.
Stayed here while on business. . . The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Several remembered and greeted me by name when I walked through the door. The rooms are new and very nice. The housekeepers did a very good job. The breakfast variety was awesome as well; cinnamon rolls, sausage, gravy, biscuits, and omellettes, as well as a cold bar with yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and a variety of breads and muffins. I was able to sleep very comfortably. The pillows and sheets felt brand new, which is always welcoming when I am traveling. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in town.
I don't remember much about the hotel itself because this is the first one we stayed in during our week without a home. I want to mention how they didn't seem to care about why we needed shelter. My mother is 85 years old with many physical ailments and could not stay in her flooded home and still is unable to. I did speak to the other Holiday Inn in charleston and they didn't even flinch when I told him that the price of 155. 00 a night was too high since this was going to be only one of many nights we needed shelter. I called about 8 places and still had to just live with their price at this location. How upsetting that we have had to just deal with it.
This hotel needs a deep cleaning and a bunch of TLC and repairs. Room was ok, but bed and pillows were a little lumpy. Not many outlets. However, it was the best water pressure in the shower! Breakfast area was dirty and we even saw a bug. No one was cleaning or restocking. No pancake machine. Desk people were friendly. We would probably pick a different hotel next time unless they did an overhaul here.
I should of known when we were waiting on the elevator we noticed the wall paper was being held up by tacks and push pins this might not be the best place. The rooms were ok, not the normal comfortable beds we are use to at most Holiday Inn Hotels. The hotel is dated. The remote would not work but was quickly fixed by staff. We took our girls to the pool and could only stay for 5 minutes due to the over bearing smell of chlorine. It was so bad our eyes were watering just standing there. It was truly horrible. We told the staff working the front desk and he told me their was nothing he could do about it. I would not recommend this hotel for the cost. Highly over priced for the conditions of the hotel.
This hotel was clean, they accommodated our needs as we were just traveling through. Breakfast was decent and the staff was very friendly and courteous. They have a nice courtyard area that is pet friendly and relaxing. Overall a great experience.
I hope this is the correct property, it was on Corridor G, about 20 miles from Boone County. Managers were nice, professional. Room could have been just a bit more professionally cleaned. Room was well equipped, however, they only provided two towels, and a very necessary anti slip mat for the shower was only available on request, somehow, a new directive from the big boys up the line? The room could use a detail person, some touch ups would be nice, the "white" glove if you will. . However, they had a K Cup machine, though the coffee was not drinkable. Breakfast is available downstairs and was OK. It is appreciated that the beds and the pillows are sealed -- it would be nice if the sheets were ironed-- always a nice touch. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan, there is a vent, but no fan? Hotel was humid. Does have a pool and exercise room.
