Embassy Suites Charleston

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My husband and I recently stayed for one night. Although the hotel was comfortable we found it to be quite tired. We didn't find the staff engaging. No real welcome from the front desk. Two people did make a conscious effort though at the manager's reception, the man serving beverages, as well as the man filling snacks and keeping the area clean.

Staying at Embassy suites was a special treat for my grandson. The two of us traditionally go Christmas shopping for his family but this year I thought I'd make it really special. We shopped, checked in, ordered room service, swam in the pool, and in the morning had a huge breakfast at the buffet. It was such a great time that I'm going to repeat it for my granddaughter.

Nice facility, nice downtown location but our room wasn't serviced the first day after we got back so we had to call and request this at 5:30pm upon return. Day two repeat of Day One. Strike two. Again waited to receive limited service. Finally Day 3 of four our room was properly serviced. So not a happy camper with that. Otherwise ok stay.

The streets in Charleston were confusing as most seem to be one way. Biggest negative with the hotel is the lack of parking .....free parking. Movies are very expensive. $18/movie. Room was very clean and the maid freshened it up every time we left the room.

I always stay at Embassy Suites. They have the best amenities and service.

Loved the location everything to do was within walking distance.

We wanted to break up our trip to NC. This was a great stop. The hotel was wonder and close to a lovely mall. We had a nice night of swimming and enjoying the mall.

It was fun. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour. I liked the happy hour.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel and my room was very clean and the staff was very nice. If I had one bad thing to say is the parking but other than that I really enjoyed my stay. Also the breakfast was very good and they give you plenty of choice to chose from. When I go and see my son I will stay at this hotel every time.

Took a quick romantic overnight trip. Comfy suite. Cocktail hour was awesome! Breakfast was epic. The gym was solid!

We have yet to find a nice hotel that offers suites in Charleston, WV. We always stop here because it is halfway to my parent's house. This has very large rooms and the elevator in the lobby is fun for the kids. The rooms are very dated and need some improvements. It works if you have to stop here.

Awsome will be back enjoyed my stay excellent service clean rooms

family x mas meeting place. 4 out of 5 rooms not cleaned or serviced . one room with dirty linens at check in, could not recommend this hotel.

We reserved a non-smoking room 2 weeks before our trip, but when we checked in, we were told all that was left was one non-smoking room, Disgusting smell came from the room, there was an ashtray in the bathroom with ashes in it when we arrived, and a dirty rag on the floor of the shower. The room looked like it was used for a break room for the staff before we arrived. I paid WAY too much to be put into a smelly, dirty room.

Traveled to Charleston for business and my stay is what I would expect. The staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and the location is centralized. No real surprises, nice play to stay.

Great place to stay. Only issue was noisy neighbors. Walls are thin.

The hotel itself was fine, we only had a problem with the housekeeping. One day they didn't make beds, empty the garbage, in general do their job.

The staff is super friendly. You get a full breakfast of decent quality free EVERY morning and free drinks and snacks at night. The pool and hot tub are clean. The restaurant onsite is good with excellent service. My only complaint is the parking fee. BOO to the parking fee.

We enjoyed the hotel and its amenities the hotel provided. The breakfast, evening reception, and relaxing rooms were quite nice.

For a relatively expensive hotel, the young man who checked us in was unfriendly and acted annoyed when we asked for a change to a king bed room. At these prices, it is rediculous to charge extra for wireless in the room. The HI just down the street has free wifi and costs about 50% less for an adequate room.

Thank you for choosing the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston for your stay. We are glad you liked the location of our hotel and you were pleased with our housekeeping service. However, I am sorry for your disappointment with our hotel parking charges. As with most downtown locations, there is an expense associated with parking in close proximity to the hotel. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you again. Mark Cherry, General Manager
