After staying in the Movich, we went to Isla Grande, San Pedro de Majagua for one night, and returned to Cartagena, to this Hotel, what a relief, very kind and alert personel in a beautifull location and had dinner in Alma, the restaurant connected to this hotel, the food was very good an we had live jazz, what more can you want!!

We recently stayed at the Casa San Agustin in Cartagena. The facilities were comfortable and spacious. What made our visit extra special was the excellent, friendly staff, both in the hotel and the restaurant. Whatever help or information we needed, the hotel personnel went out of their way to meet our needs. Went want to give a special thanks to Ramon, Gladys, Olga, Nelson, Jose, Yuly, Bryan, Jorge and Lizardo. Thank you for making our stay at the Casa San Agustin so memorable.

Lovely elegant hotel in the heart of Cartagena. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast was good, the service overall excellent. Only issue was the fan light would turn on in the middle of the night for no reason- this happened 3 or 4 times waking us up. However, we would stay here again, just a different room

We stayed here for a week in Dec 2017. This boutique hotel of 30 rooms or so was a joy. Beautiful details everywhere with good taste that feels local and elegant. Service outstanding always with a smile -- the team there took care of all our excursions and made excellent recommendations. Absolutely recommended. Our travel agent was insistent we choose this hotel and he was right. It is very clear the owners made a huge investment to restore this place and the staff is doing a great job caring for it. Tips: each room is different, so dont be shy about asking to see more than one if available. The pool is in the courtyard and is shaded and while gorgeous it is not a place to sun -- but... after two days in the intense heat of cartagena you will come to appreciate this concept of a shaded pool. there is also a small hidden rooftop sunning area with a bar and outdoor showers for those seeking to roast a bit more.

Charming small hotel. Beautiful architecture. Great location. Food was a bit weak, and some of the hotel rooms were small and dark (we stayed in three!) But I'll give it 5 stars mostly for the building and pool. We met a couple of celebrities from the US. Pretty sophisticated clientele.

My wife and I were visiting our son in Cartagena who is teaching in Colombia for a year. The three of us spent a week there and were so fortunate to have discovered Casa San Agustin. A wonderful luxurious Magical spot in heart of old city. Truly beautiful architecture. Luxurious rooms. —we stayed in a 2br duplex suite room 213 which was outstanding. Indulgent details and excellent technology. Fantastic spa on premises, Alma Restaurant is excellent - breakfasts and dinners. All staff were lovely and friendly. Best part is concierge staff who arranged every restaurant, car, walking tour, boat trip to Rosario Islands always with a warm smile. We have to make special mention of Katherine (see photo) who was just wonderful. She planned everything for us with our travel agent prior to trip and could not have been more caring while we were there. Also Helena and all the restaurant staff made us feel at home. We would highly recommend to the most sophisticated travelers. Ps be prepared for the heat -not one drop of rain and not one mosquito in a week

First of all this is boutique hotel, meaning small but with the enough space. The service is even better than in many of big and luxury hotel I’ve been. So if you want to stay in the old town which I do recommend a 100%, and want to really live and breathe the real old times this is the place. The sensation is like being in a house that actually that is the name in Spanish: CASA. There are several spaces you can enjoy like being in and old Cartagena house with a nice library room to spend the afternoon with courtesy tea or having a coffee or Ron in the evenings. The pool area is with enough shadow that at the beginning for me was strange but when you feel the hot of the weather you will thanks that there is partial sun light in this area and you will be able to relax but if you need sun there is plenty in the terrace where there is a solarium and bar service. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast served is great. The personnel very warm and extremally attentive. There is a lot of attention to every detail in this property from the maintenance of the building the cleaning and every detail. My room was in the second floor with a king bed and a lot of space, desk. Fresh fruit served daily in your room and local or some international newspapers on request. The bathroom was super nice and shower great. Last but not least the bar is small but they offer an extended mixology bar list. From a great Martini to a lot of variations for the classic gin and tonic. There is a passion in Colombia for the gin and they honor that and this bar it is not an exception. I was convinced but I’ve tried a couple of Gin and tonic creations and they were excellent. I was peeking during my stay several places with good reviews in the old town but I will definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I stay at the Casa San Agustin for four nights and it was amazing. The room (No. 102) came with a 9X20 foot pool. We would stay in this room again in a heartbeat. We loved the boutique and colonial style of the hotel's design, the excellent location and the attentive, first rate staff. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic time in Cartagena. The hotel staff was exceptional. The staff was extremely helpful with arranging restaurant reservations, transportation, and daily excursions. Our room was beautiful and quite. The location of the hotel in the walled city was perfect.

Gorgeous hotel, pleasant and helpful staff, especially Katherine, Bryan, Over, Olga. The room was perfectly appointed, the bathroom is worth the price of the stay alone (almost) The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. It's quiet, with all sorts of nice touches such as cookies in the afternoon, baked goodies on your bed at night, newspaper at your room each morning, etc. The front desk give all sorts of useful advice. The restaurant , Alma's is superb. There is literally nothing I can think of to complain about.
