Hotel was awesome

It was right off highway. Very clean and the room was spacious. Wifi was too slow is my only complaint.
The bed wasn’t bad but one of the pillowcases was dirty looking. My room didn’t have a window to the outside. It had cheap doors with windows that connected to another hallway. The bathroom was gross. Should be a $40 room.
This hotel is a few years old but it looks and smells brand new. Every area was impeccably clean and well maintained. The pool and spa were, to me the perfect temp and free breakfast was much better than typical in this price range. Staff was very courteous and professional; they even kept the pool open a little later for us as we checked in late. Great way to stay in a nice place and save a few $ over the overpriced hotels in Champaign; the drive from here to U of I is only about 15 minutes. Only negative comment is that the hotel sits practically ON Interstate 57. Must be built well as the road noise was much less than I expected but, that being said, you will hear a little "whoosh" whenever a semi goes by...Mattresses are a little soft as well. All that being said, I'm a light sleeper and got a good night's sleep here.
I liked that they had a hot tub. I did not like that the water was near scalding. The clerk had trouble checking me out, then called and asked for my credit card. I told her I had paid through Orbitz, but she still said I needed to give her my credit card. I refused.

This hotel is very new (about 2 months) and most aspects were very nice....but there were 2 frustrating elements. The staff was clearly in a learning mode and not learning very fast. We reserved and paid for the room via Orbitz but then the hotel initially charged us (twice more) for the same room. At this point, I think I've gotten them down to only charging us once more (so twice for the room) along with a promise to fix the issue, but it's taken me lots of time and calls to get to this. Secondly (and less problematic), the breakfast bar was out of several listed items despite our being down to breakfast fairly early (7am). I'm hopeful that they'll get their act together, but not highly optimistic.
