Room was clean and comfortable, nice shower pressure and hot water!! Staff was super friendly and efficient. Very helpful as well, when the gentleman found that my husband would struggle with steps, he made accommodations to move us to the ground level. Parking was a bit limited, close to the door and the overflow lot behind the building was poorly lit, being unfamiliar with the area I wasn’t comfortable with that option. Breakfast was over the top for a small independent facility and they also provided us with bottled water, thanking us for supporting a small business!! I would definitely stay here again!!

As someone familiar with military dorms, these definitely have a "used to be a dorm" vibe. Driving around the property you can see buildings next door that are still abandoned that make me hope the hotel will take over at some point. What I admire about this hotel is the EFFORT to keep things as clean and organized as possible despite some aging and perhaps limited capabilities. Example, the fruit they offered was fresh. The bananas weren't bruised, the clementines were ripe. They even offered oatmilk! The bread and bagels weren't stale but soft. The parking lot could use a repaving,but the parking lines are visible and I never felt my car was in danger. The rooms were clean but aged. But the only bugs I seen were the giant mosquitoes outside the window (easily fixed just keep the window closed because they don't have screens). Im hoping this hotel will keep the quality that they offer along with the great customer service and being bug free. And eventually maybe expand a little and renovate some of the areas outside. Some tips and details: the hotel has free parking, breakfast and wifi. There are no elevators. The surrounding areas is most of the former air force base then some apartments. The room has a desk and a small kitchenette (no hot plate). The closest restaurants are mostly fast food about 15 min away. I would take advantage of the breakfast they offer. I plan on booking again soon.

When the guest in the next room turned on tv or were talking you could hear them as if they were in your hotel room. The rooms were clean, the exterior was run down and old carpet that was not clean nor was the staircase. Building old enough that there is no elevator. Our room was not ready when we arrived close to 5pm. Booking was confirmed for King and we were told 2 queens beds when we arrived. The clerk spoke with the cleaning person as it appeared they were just cleaning the king room. We told them we’d grab a bite to eat and come back so they could finish. No hand towels in the bathroom just 2 washcloths and 2 bath towels. This was odd. Staff was friendly as were all the locals where we ate.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and comfortable. I was traveling around the state visiting friends amd family and this hotel, even though it was the least expensive, was by far the best. And not too far from champaign-urbana. Well worth the stop.

A good example about how not to judge a book by it’s cover. The surrounding area seemed run down with an old building across the street. It is located on the former Chanute AFB. The building was a former dormitory. Our room was great! It was spacious and very clean. Staff was very nice. And the old building across the street turned out to be a haunted house! We would definitely stay again.

The room was arranged in a weird way. The television was not visible from the bed by the door. I got some bites on my neck after I got under the blankets. I don't know what it was but after the room was cleaned and the blankets werechanged, I felt better. I enjoyed my stay there though.

Our room was never cleaned the whole time we were there had to ask for towels, but the staff was absolutely amazing. They were very helpful and kind and I would stay 100 times over just for that kind of service.

Breakfast every morning. Fruit, cereal, muffins, (even Pop tarts for the kiddos). Scrambled eggs, bacon, (sausage links, weekends), French toast sticks. Make your own waffles. Syrup, powered sugar, Nutella, jellies, Jif peanut butter. Yogurt, toast, bagels. Orange juice, milk, hot cocoa, coffee. That's just what I can remember.
