Arrived around 11:30pm, but we were greeted promptly. Our room was very nice. We liked the sectional style couch. Our daughter slept on it and said it was comfy. We loved the shower! The showerhead was on the opposite wall from where it turned on. That was awesome! There was a foot-ledge and several other ledges! Great idea! There was also a counter/mirror area right outside of the bathroom, so someone else could still get ready without bothering whoever was in the bathroom. We loved the breakfast! The hostess brought around little glasses of mango smoothies! There were coffee flavor additions and many other nice touches! Will definitely stay again! It was in a great location near I-74!

We had a group of 12 family members, we LOVED the hotel and the staff. Great Service, Rooms clean and very nicely decorated. We used the outdoor patio and loved the firepit. We will definetly stay again.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting in the Champaign- Urbana area, Shanae and Brianna Front Desk clerks made check-in very easy. The decor in this hotel is very beautiful. Our rooms were very clean. They have an excises room, pool, and basketball court. The Patio is very beautiful it has a grill and fire pit. The fire pit is turned on at 8:00pm. We made s'more and also cooked on the grill. The breakfast was very good and Ms. Dee was very helpful and kind. This hotel is the ideal place to stay close to a mall and many restaurants. We will definitely be back again.

We booked this hotel through Hotwire, not really knowing what to expect. The room was huge, with full kitchenette, spacious living area, and huge closet. We were very comfortable and wished we were staying for more than one night! They had a great breakfast selection and very friendly staff. Our stay was clean and very pleasant!

Great location, right off the highway! I would call this your standard residence Inn. It was fine. Check-in, and parking was a breeze. Everything worked well in the room, it was spacious(it had an "L – shaped" sectional, which was very nice and the kitchen/full-fridge/sink area was nice. The room had some wear (many parts of the carpeting had snags ) but that was fine, it was very clean. This is a category 4 hotel. I had some issues with rambunctious people in the hallway making noise, and someone knocking on my door – – when I expected no one. They randomly made a courtesy call in the evening, which I never experienced at any Marriott or Residence Inn. They asked me "if everything was OK with the room and if all was fine". So I mentioned that someone just knocked on my door and they're having a noisy party in the hallway. Their response was "we will send someone right up to quiet things down ". After about 15 minutes the noise in the hallway went away, and I never answered the door, maybe that person just had the wrong room. (That was a little creepy.) I was very glad that she had called to ask me if the room was fine, it made me feel like someone was "watching things ". The gym was nice and I used it. They have two treadmills, and two ellipticals and a big television. They have an indoor pool, and a very large laundry room so you can wash and dry your clothes. They have a small pantry area that you can purchase snacks. I enjoyed the breakfast it was fresh and clean and hot. There was dry cereal, waffles you can make yourself, eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, four types of fresh fruit , oatmeal, and coffee/tea/milk/juice. I did notice that the staff was very friendly. Every single person I encountered that work there, said "hello or good morning " to me. I would recommend this hotel. Please press "helpful" if you found this review insightful, as I wonder if anyone actually reads these.....

Recently stayed here for 2 nights for business and everything was amazing. The room was very clean and better than expected! I had a king suite which included a full kitchen and mini living room area. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower and was very elegant! The fitness center was well equipped when it comes to hotels, but the pool/spa area was larger than expected so I was rather happy. My day started perfect each day with the very friendly staff at the front desk and the staff at the breakfast bar. I'm a big breakfast fan and their breakfast exceeded my high expectations. Point being, I would recommend this hotel to anyone from families to the savy businessman 10/10.

We stayed here for 3 nights - we were in town for a family wedding. The welcome at front desk is less than Friendly - it seems like they are doing you a favor checking you in. Throughout the hotel it would be nice to be able to distinguish hotel staff from guests - some wore what was clear to be a uniform, some were in t-shirts and some looked as if they had just come in from a casual night out. Surely it would not be too much to ask for the staff to wear a name badge. As a Marriott Elite member my preferences were ignored for extra pillows and towels. The rooms come with a king bed and a queen sofa bed which we were using - the bedding for it is non almost non existent - one pillow for a queen sofa bed - one sheet and a comforter with no cover on it..... The mattress of the sofa bed was very lumpy so in the end we put the cushion back on the sectional and slept on that - much more comfortable. One of the elevators was not working for the duration of our stay (apparently a baseball team stayed in the hotel last weekend and jumped up and down and it dropped 2 floors)- the other one is very slow and jerky and certainly needs looking at. There is a front and back door to the elevator - the back door is used by house keeping - often staff will hold to door open chatting to their colleagues causing further delays. The Swimming pool was looking a bit on the green side - we decided not to go in. Breakfast is included but they tried to close it early on 2 days during our stay. There are 2 doors to the breakfast area. On one day both were open and it acted as an in and out flow for guests. When they start to close breakfast they shut one door and gradually close the other. On 2 days there was only 1 door open which caused congestion. We turned up 1/2 hour before breakfast was due to close and dishes were empty. Asking staff for basic stuff like silverware was met with indifference, eggs were cold, sausage trays empty, fruit empty.... and the vegetable crumble was the only thing left because it was burnt black!. On the morning of departure I went to print a boarding pass at the business center. Nothing would print and being in IT I noticed the printer had a need toner message. I lined up at reception after 10 minutes got to the front of the line and asked if she has some replacement toner for the printer. She said she knew it needed toner but it was the managers day off and only he could do toner. (all said with an indifferent tone) If they knew this was a case why did they not put an "out of order" notice on the printer to save people having to waste time in line to be told the manager had a day off! I know everyone needs a day off but to not give the staff access to basic printer supplies during this time seems a bit shortsighted of the management team. This could be a nice hotel - the rooms are well equipped but need maintenance - also it would be nice to have one of those luggage rack things to stand your suitcase on which they have at Marriott and other brand hotels - we were told by reception they do not have them here, I think the management need to concentrate more on a service aspect - staff should be friendly, welcoming and polite. This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in recently. Having paid $159 for one a night at this price there are better hotels and better value for money elsewhere.

We visited for a weekend. It is almighty at new, great rooms, clean, friendly stuff. On Saturday the breakfast area was opened at 6:30 by mistake I was told. On Sunday we were punished and I was told it will be open at 7:00 a.m. We left with a bitter taste. When you have customers with kids for various competitions which require a breakfast, you Residence Inn make an effort and open the breakfast room at 6:00 even during weekend like other hotels who understand the situation and please the customers, otherwise next time we will go somewhere else.

Had to travel for work and found this in a priceline deal. Glad I did. Arrived in time for free happy hour and a food truck outside. Room was immaculate, well maintained and had everything I could want. The staff was friendly and helpful in my interactions. Thanks for a relaxing night!

I learned that Urbana Champaign, Illinois is a really small town.....so if you DON'T rent a car you will be taking lots of cab rides or uber rides to get sundries, groceries, and to eat. That said, I thought this hotel was good, standard Residence Inn by Marriott fare. Nice little breakfast with "ok" variety, trained and pleasant staff (some better than others of course)' comfy bed, excellent work space, nice appliances. You don't always get recognized as a Marriott Rewards member (depends on property ownership) but they put together a nice snack for those of us who have earned that recognition. I have read some of the comments and frankly some of them are over-critical, I think all of the employees do their best to make us happy and I left there satisfied, even though underwhelmed by the town. I would stay again if business called me back to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (and if there is a next time I will RENT a car from Midway Airport and drive the 4 hour round trip).
