Great for kids

We were excited for a little time away from the city. But will not return to the Grizzly Bear Resort in the future. We were initially happy to see temperatures were being taken upon arrival. All staff was always excellent about wearing masks. But other guests were absolutely awful about wearing masks and staff did not correct behavior or enforce the behavior at all. The pool timed-entry was a joke as for our timed-entry, the pool was so extremely full we left feeling absolutely uncomfortable with the crowds. There were easily 250 patrons in the pool area. Adults were going down kid-slides and there were no life-guards on duty at all. The water temperature was also very chilly - 70F for the large pool which felt quite cold. Restaurant: though socially distanced on our first night, the service was extremely slow. We waited 30 minutes to put in our order and another 45min for cold food. The next night, we opted to do carry-out as there were two parties of 20 guests dining in the dining room of the restaurant. None with masks. We waited 3.5 hours for our food - of course at that point, we had eaten snacks and leftovers we had obtained in town for lunch. The music blaring on the 2nd night was loud and though the desk staff said they would request it be turned off, it took 3 phone calls and 2 hours for that to happen. Breakfast is not available, rooms are cold with loud heating units that don’t work very well. We will not come back.

Bugs and dirty need better customer service nothing open there

My grand kids loved the waterpark, although we all thought the air temp and water temps could have been quite bit warmer. The restaurant was good, but I thought $8.50 for a kids meal that consisted of only a sandwich, fries and a drink, or mac & cheese with fruit was out of line. There wasn't a prize or dessert. For that price, we expected something more than just a meal. We loved the arcade and the selection of prizes. It would also be nice if a weekend didn't require a two night stay. All in all we had a great time!

Grandson enjoyed water park especially the Wave Pool.

My family had a great time! Great location and awesome value! My family loved the wave pool and the mini lazy river! We will book again soon! Extremely happy customers!

very disappointing the pool was closed early on days we where there nothing to do in area with kids and game room is smaller then before staff was great just the pool part was a negative when you want to get away

Property was an amazing place to stay. I got an excellent deal for the room and the kids really loved the water park. The staff was very kind to us. We will definitely be trying to come back!

Water park is small, but it right across the street from St. Louis Can you Trail. Easy trail, even with toddlers.

The hotel was adequate if you just need a place to stay. We were glad they offered a complimentary continental breakfast because it made things more convenient for us before we left for hiking each morning. We knew the water park was closed, but did not realize the arcade would also be closed (except for a few games they brought out). We also didn't know one of the main characters for the story time was broken, which was disappointing for our 5 year old. Also, the restaurant was closed, because they only open it on the weekend. The miniature golf was open, but was an extra charge. We thought they should have offered it for free considering how everything else was closed or broken. We also had a fruit fly problem in our room on the last day, which was odd because we had no food in the room. Everything seemed to be under construction, but we saw no one working on the renovations. It was strange. We felt like the business may have been getting ready to liquidate.

Friendly staff , clean and comfortable room. Water park was closed but we knew that when we booked the room.

The staff at Grand Bear would like to first apologize for the less then satisfactory stay you had at the resort. This is certainly not what we want for our guests.
