The room was nice and big but the carpet was pretty worn and dirty and there were very few outlets to charge electronic devices.

Was okay for what we needed. Close to the interstate.

We stay at this hotel at least 2 times per year when we visit family in the area. Though prices have gone up in this last year, it still remains one of the cheaper hotel in the area. This hotel is recently under new management who is trying to make this a pleasant place to stay. The hotel was clean overall, and the room was also clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast bar is somewhat scant from what it has been in the past, though it has the typical waffle maker and cold cereal and a limited number of pastries. No fruit or yogurt - but there is a McDonalds nearby which can supply what is lacking.. Overall a good value for the dollar when your primary purpose is to have a comfortable place to sleep.

Hotel was Clean and close to Starved Rock. Free Breakfast was included. Not much of a selection but the price it was nice. Coffee, Cereal, Waffle Maker

Easily the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The bathroom smelled like garlic. There was mold in the room. I'm not sure we'll ever get the smell out of our clothes. Literally.....LITERALLY had a hard time breathing. And to top it off, the waffle maker was broken. Hence, never again.

This hotel was a good value for the money. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

This is always a good location right off the Interstate. Gas, restaurants. Wal-Mart all minutes away. Good stop before or after Chicago, depending on which direction one is travelling.

Friendly, prompt check in. Family travel with a three queen room on third floor. Regrettably, there wasn't an elevator or pool. However, we were close to the mall and restaurants. Good value for the room compared to having two rooms with a connecting door. We were in town for a wedding, and got back to the room late on a Saturday night. Breakfast was over at 9:00 AM on Sunday morning, which is earlier than most hotels for a weekend.

good staff @ average hotel. hallways and rooms have a musty smell. needs a paint job to refreshen. breakfast area was good. not bad for the money.

Very pleasant and affordable great location. Very quite

My family and I definitely recommend the Peru, IL Super 8 Motel. Staff was friendly and helpful; rooms were clean and helped you to feel good in them; fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were definite plusses; and the free breakfast was well presented and better than what you would expect (-my whole family found something here to happily eat). Overall for the price (we paid $50/night with some kind of travel web site special), totally worth staying at on on your way to/from some destination.

1. 3 Floors - No elevator 2. Clean room - as it should be 3. Uncomfortable bed and pillows - bad night sleep 4. Good shower 5. Frig & micro a plus 6. Needs updated tv channel guide 7. It's time to get back to expecting clean rooms as a minimum requirement instead of giving high praise for it. This property would have been a standard Super 8 when the chain was prominent. With uncomfortable bed, which btw was no more a king than I am, There is very little reason to stay here.

We have used this motel twice now and would use it again. The morning we left though when we opened our door there was a heavy concentration of cigarette smoke smell. This was supposed to be smoke free.

The entrance was simple and had an odor of like trying to eliminate cigarette smoke, but when we went to the second floor (no elevator) the air was clean and free from any odor and so was our smoke-free room. On our way we picked up a newspaper from a pile of them made available to guests. In the room the air conditioning unit was thermostatically controlled and easy to use, much easier than the wall mounted thermostat of a much more expensive hotel where we stayed recently. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom, towels, etc. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap were all in good order. Coffee machine (paper cups), microwave, and fridge all worked fine. The room was spacious with a small table, two padded chairs, dresser and end table. Breakfast did not have eggs or a waffle maker, but included juice, milk, cereal, rolls, bagels, toast, a fruit (watermelon). This motel was not fancy, but did the job for us and we were on our way, happy with our experience. Our room had a door linking it to an adjoining room, so that would have been very convenient had we had children with us. In our room we heard no noise from other guests, even though there were a fair amount staying at the motel.

Room was nice, comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful. Even though they did not have an elevator, hotel staff was willing to assist in going upstairs with luggage.

Very adequate and reasonable for a good night's rest. The woman at the morning desk was such a good hostess. She is from Europe and talked about how she loves Colorado's wild mushrooms. I had complained about our TV not having audio for MSNBC the night before (only channel that didn't have sound) and she said she would call Comcast immediately to report it. (Of course I thought it was a right wing conspiracy to block it. I hope I was wrong.) A good place to stay about an hour west of Chicago.

The room was what we expected. Very friendly staff.

We found the hotel to be very clean, comfy beds, the continental breakfast was great, except, bigger plates would be better as the smaller ones can't hold the waffles and pancakes. The staff was great, very friendly. Will be staying there on the next trip down

Unfortunately, this was not the best place to stay. Bathroom clean; bed was uncomfortable; old television; surrounded by old boarded-up hotels.
