Hotel room was clean quiet. Staff were courteous and helpful.
The staff are very helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel.
Clean place, close to Starved Rock. Great as a launch pad to explore the park, and dog friendly!
Nice, welcoming staff. Breakfast simple but met the needs of a good start to your day. Had some outside games available to the guests, within walking distance to local restaurants and easy access to the highway. Room was comfortable, but not the best insulation so you can hear the people next door and in the halls but overall a good place to stay.
The facility was very clean, friendly environment- check in was super fast. The room was very clean no complaints on that. It had a refrigerator, microwave etc. The location is okay was very closed to several small towns; plus it was very closed to Starved Rock State Park which is what we came here to explore. I will definitely stay there again.
My family and I were just passing through town on a cross county trip. We had made it as far as we could travel for the night and were lucky enough to find this hotel. The woman that checked us in was so sweet. She got us a crib and a clean, soft blanket for our daughter to use so we didn't have to dig out our pack n play. She went out of her way to make sure that we were all set for the night. We would definitely stay here again.
Although the room was basically clean, a few things had been overlooked. The breakfast was great, with some extras like granola, raisins and brown sugar, and real cooked cereal.
Everything went well. Nice and quiet hotel with gas station and restaurant near by.
My sister and I went on a 13-mile Mega Hike at Starved Rock and this was the perfect location! When I checked in, I told the person at the front desk that the hike was our reason for staying, and she gave us a map for a short-cut to Starved Rock. We arrived in less than 15 minutes. What I was most happy with is that my sister didn't have trouble checking in. It was I who booked the hotel, so the night before, I called in to let them know that we were checking in late, around 6-7 pm, and that since we were coming from different directions, my sister might arrive first before I did. The person at the front desk said that all I needed to do was provide my sister's name, and that my sister would just have to present a photo ID. I asked my sister if that's how it happened and she said yes, there was no problem whatsoever. Great :# And when I checked in, the person was quite pleasant. This is a Days Inn, so we didn't expect any frills. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. My sister did say that the faucet fixtures had visible water streaks #you know, like when you wipe something down and it doesn't dry properly#. That's not a big deal, but you know how even the appearance of uncleanliness makes you wonder what else isn't cleaned properly. #Or, we are just picky!) But everything else was clean and in proper working order, so that was not a big deal. Breakfast wasn't all that exciting, but they did have a good selection: pre-made oatmeal, yogurt cups, make-it-yourself waffles, cereal, toast an abundance of coffee. Again, it's a Days Inn, people, not the Peninsula. The best thing about breakfast was that one of the employees greeted me hello and good morning, and asked if I needed anything :) I think that kind of stuff makes up for everything else. On our way out, I dropped off our key cards and we were greeted with a very nice send off. Perfectly pleasant :)
Front desk was very friendly. Staff was very happy. Room had lingering oder from the old days of smoking though the entire hotel is non-smoking now. Everything work out well
IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY A NIGHT, NO FRILLS , THIS IS O-KAY. WE GOT THERE AN MY RESERVATION ROOM WAS CHANGED FROM A KING BED TO A DOUBLE. POOL WAS TINY, SMALL BKFST ROOM , 5 PEOPLE AND IT'S A CROWD. SEVERAL PLACES TO EAT NEARBY. WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPIER SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An expedient stop for a long trip between Cleveland and Omaha.
Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff, large room but tiny bath.
we took the whole family including the dog. she is a very well behaved Jack Russel Terrier. We did not have any problems with her and even took her to the family reunion. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with all the amenities that you have at home. there were restaurants within walking distance Iw ould stay there again
close to I-39 and only a few min. to staved Rock S.P. quiet and it was nice to be right next to a few gas stations for a midnight run to get a snack.
The room was clean and tidy the bathroom is small but clean as well. The room had a small refridgerator and a microwave as well.Close to the Starved rock area ...which is great for weekend getaway.Staff are friendly and the continental breakfast was ok.
Attending a wedding, stayed 3 nights, busy off the premises most of the time. Location worked well for me, nice quiet room, good bed, clean, liked the breakfast offering. Staff only stays on to clean until 2pm some days...if you want your room done after lunch it might be a problem.
I was very satisfied with my stay at days Inn. Our room was very clean and neat. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy white pillows. It was great to have a fridge and mini microwave in the room, how conveinient. We were still in our room doing breakfast, when the maid knocked on our door, she was super freindly while changing our towels out, and was helpful in giving us tips as far as where we might go to. We mainly came to this area to go hiking at starved rock which was just a fifteen minute drive away. The only draw back was a 20 mph speed limit through the town. I would stay there again in the future.
This hotel was located near my destination, however I will not use it again. This is a classic situation of You get what you pay for. I will pay more next time. The day clerk is unfriendly and just plain lazy. We had to wait an hour after the posted opening to go into the pool because she still had work to do there. The free breakfast was incomplete. What more can I say.
