The hotel overall is old and beaten down. The lamp in my room was not working and the head was broken on the other. The towels seemed not clean. I checked out a day early.
This property could use some updating. It was clean enough, but the carper was old and it smelled "old" even if it might have been clean. Breakfast was also fairly disappointing for a La Quinta.
Staff and management refused to credit for an incorrect entry date on a reservation. I was forced to pay for two nights versus the single night I stayed at the location. They had over one week advance notice. Zero flexibility displayed.

Was better than other La Quinta properties I have stayed in. Couldn't believe they did not have the BigTen TV Network. Champaign is the home of the University of Illinois...one of the founding members of the Big Ten Conference over 125 years ago!!!! Probably most of their guests are there for some kind of Univ of Illinois event...get a clue!!!!

The room was nice and the staff friendly and efficient. The place needs a refreshing. Painting the place and tending to worn parts of the hotel. Could ask for more if they did this. However for $85 I feel that I got a good value.
I booked 3 rooms and had several family members referred 4 to 5 this and some rooms were in poor conditions bed might as well been on the floor breakfast potatoes were cold like they were still uncooked and when staff was informed all they did was turn the warmer up.
The pool was not functioning. We were there for a baseball team and the expectation and reason for choosing this hotel was for them to have an outdoor pool. The area around was real bad and there were people in the parking lot that didn’t seem like they were even staying there. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The rooms had a smell and were dirty.
My tub was leaking. Lighting in the rooms are quiet poor (room felt too dark).
The staff were excellent and helpful. Clean amenities, in-room single cup coffee maker.
Illinois is a joke with the closing of the outdoor pool and breakfast area.

The receptionist told us there was no room reserved. After we presented our paper confirmation printed documents with the Orbitz #. He found us a smoking room, we reserved no smoking. The room smelled of smoke and so do we. There were flys in the room. We killed 3. Our credit card info was give to Orbitz and we thought to the hotel when we made the reservation. Would you use this Orbitz system again? Would you?
The stay here was fine. The room was definitely not as nice as the picture. It was clean enough, but dated and not very spacious. We were only staying one night, so it did the job. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, so that was plus.
