This is second time we have stayed. Very clean updated room and well maintained property. Staff was BEYOND professional and courteous. I went to front desk about 11:30 PM to get 2 towels, night auditor was so sweet, he's like let me get you the warm ones coming out of the dryer. What a thoughtful thing to do. His positive attitude was very pleasing. This is best budget friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend. To the GM at this location, your staff across the board BOTH visits was simply amazing. Your property is VERY well maintained too. It truly shows the GM's are strong leaders to have such well run operations.
The hotel staff was very very friendly. Love seeing welcoming and happy faces after a long trip. The room was very clean and put together just over all a very wonderful experience. Definitely would recommend!!.
This was an average inn. Location was perfect as it was by highway side and close to U of I.we selected this hotel because at the last moment we didn't get booking in any other hotels close to the university . Graduation ceremony was going on, so all the hotels were booked early. So we found that it was substantially overpriced because we stayed earlier in the other good hotel there and got more facilities in the same price. Rooms are big size and you can get everything for daily need. But the hotel can improve their cleanliness aspect. Staffs are very cordial and accomodative.
The Red Roof in Champagne Illinois was a dump. The room appeared to not have been cleaned. I cleaned off the toilet seat myself which still have "residue" on it. This was the only hotel to allow cats for an over night stay.
All we needed was a place close to U of I to lay our heads after a concert. This was perfect! Located directly off of the highway so we didn't have to drive around looking for it. Room was nice and clean. The rate was unbelievably low. I wouldn't even bother looking for a different place to stay if I'm ever headed down there again. Oh... It's also pet friendlyand pets stay free!
This "basic" hotel was chosen for the price as we had activities that kept us busy. The shower was hot with plenty of water, bed comfortable with nearby electrical outlets. Lighting good. But... please pick up the cigarette butts carelessly discarded by rude guests outside the rooms. And despite a call to the front office, the bedside phone flashed for two days (and was still flashing when we checked out). We had to put a towel over it.
Where do I begin. Do NOT trust these photos or reviews. If the mgt doesn’t refund our one night stay, they are criminals. I based my reservation based on photos on trip advisor. Funny- NOT. My girlfriend and I went to university for fun weekend. The moment we got to room the key card didn’t work, the door resembled a drug house that might have been kicked in, the carpets were filthy, the bedding was as thin as a cheap polyester used dirty handkerchief, and we asked for more blankets-ha these were as bad with stains. Let’s move on to the bathroom- plaster crumbling, huge stain in tub, gross hair on toilet( probably matching the one in bed), the sink in room vanity was filthy, as well as sketchy sticky switch plate with mystery crud on drawer pull. The microwave was disgusting as was the phone. Ceiling and wall as well as table tops dusty. And now the bonus: the rip off price!!! Over the top because of university mom’s weekend. Everything was booked. When we were packing up to leave we witnessed first hand an elderly couple cleaning with a broom! Come on!!! I hope the health department checks these reviews. Score: F-
This was the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, wet dog, and a hint of urine. I also enjoyed the large lump of long black curly hair in the shower when I stepped in. The moment my wife and I walked in, I instantly regretted staying overnight for a concert. I can no longer trust public reviews. We completely relied on the Trip Advisor reviews to book this room and could not have been more disappointed. The prices were ridiculously high due to the concert in town. They got us good. I can’t wait to get home and burn all the clothes that I brought in this room. Best of luck to anyone that braves this place.
This is a very nice motel for an overnight. Clean room, quiet, close to restaurants ( walking). Very cordial staff and our two Golden Retrievers welcome at no charge. Located off the freeway. Nice rate at $55 incl tax.
This place is the best deal in Champaign, the rooms are affordable and clean, which is the most important thing to me and my company. It's right beside a mall and lots of restaurant choices to please anybody. Definitely recommend to anyone on a budget.
