liked the motel but disappointed that the whirlpool was torn down.

Everything was great except for the smoking. One group of folks were actually smoking in the halls of 2nd floor. Enjoyed the room and friendly staff person!

The pool was freezing cold and grimy along the edges - like could barely scrape at the grime with a fingernail (a friend tried, since I refused to touch it.) The hot tub was closed which was a real disappointment since that's what we mostly wanted to use. Another guest said she'd been told it was down for the past 2 months. Although with the condition of the pool, the hot tub being down was probably a blessing. Also, the pool hours are 6 am to midnight, but the pool was closed from 6 am - 11 am+ for cleaning (they told us it'd take 3 hours) which just seemed to consist of dumping chemicals in - it was pretty chlorinated (enough to give 2 of us hives.) The hotel room itself was below average with visible stains on the carpet. One of the beds had hair you wouldn't want near you still on the sheets. I took the other bed, but slept on top of all the blankets. The room hadn't been cleaned very well including the bathroom. Towels were small and anemic - if you were a garden gnome you might like them. Breakfast was sparse. The waffle maker struggled to cook waffles. There was scrambled eggs and sausage patties that looked boiled?? but if you don't mind waiting for them to get replenished then you're okay. An assortment of breads, mini danishes and bagel was also provided along with 3 cereals, some yogurts, and fruits. Overall the grossest hotel I've ever stayed at, and would not consider again even at a discounted price. Look elsewhere.

The room was exactly what we needed. The staff was great, breakfast was good, wasn't able to use the pool didn't have time. The whole facility was clean.

THE MOMENT I WALKED IN I NOTICED THAT THIS PLACE NEEDED SOME SERIOUS REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE. WHEN I GOT TO MY ROOM IT LOOKED DECENT AT FIRST SIGHT. SOON I QUICKLY BEGAN TO NOTICE HOW DIRTY THIS PLACE IS. I KNOW HOTEL ROOMS ARE DIRTY BUT THIS PLACE IS OUTWARDLY DIRTY. THE CARPET WAS STAINED AND NEEDED VACUUMED. THERE WAS A STAIN ON THE FLOOR BY THE GARBAGE CAN, THE WALL PAPER IN THE BATHROOM WAS STAPLED BACK ON AND CLEAR TAPED OVER. I FOUND LONG HAIRS IN THE BED AND THE BATHROOM FLOOR. THE DRESSER, TV AND THE TV CHANNEL CARD ALL HAD FOOD OR DRINK SPLATTER ON THEM. THE TV REMOTE WAS STICKY AND AFTER I WASHED IT OFF THE WHITE WASH RAG HAD TURNED BLACK. BOTH CHAIRS AND THE PILLOW CASES HAD STAINS ON THEM AND THE BED SHEET HAD A BURN HOLE IN IT. THE SHOWER CURTAIN HAD SOAP SCUM ON THE BOTTOM PART AS WELL AS MOLD. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY, THIS PLACE IS GROSS.

The hotel was under renovation - but you couldn't really tell (they had a note at the desk) Very clean - staff was very friendly. the wallpaper in the bathroom was coming apart - they had taped it to hold it together (probably part of the renovation) overall - very nice location!

It was comfortable and friendly while my husband was in Carle Hospital. Very restful.

Good option for University needs. Close to food and shops. Easy to get to the campus

housekeeping below standard (finger prints on pool windows, coffee urn with stains) . Staff friendly, room adequate. Okay for a single night stopover which is mostly what the hotels in this site are for. This was a crowded weekend in the area with multiple graduations and a holiday.

Must have misread the rating. Was expecting a 3+ hotel. For a two star, not a bad stay. Good location just east of the marketplace mall. Needs some upkeep and care. Rooms were clean. All we really needed this time. Didn't use the pool, but talked to a couple who just did. Little girl and Dad were both shivering, saying the water was cold

very helpful staff. I was surprised at how clean the rooms were pool and hot tub or added bonus

The location was a bit dicey, and there was a weird guy who was definitely not an employee or a guest loitering around inside. The reception area was kind of dingy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was tiny and crowded. For $15 more, you can stay at a MUCH nicer hotel up the road and with no shady people around.

Nice inexpensive place to stay, and convenient to the State Farm Center, straight down Neil St. Two minor complaints: I'd wanted to watch other matches (at other regionals in other locations), which were being broadcast on ESPNU, which the motel's TV channel guide said I could find on channel 24, but ... not so. I was unable to watch those other matches, and that was important to me. Also, the area got about 4-5" of snow overnight, and when I went out to my car in the morning I found the snow plows had plowed me in when plowing the lot. Didn't take much for me to get out, but still ... whuddup wid dat???

Clean room and good location, just what we were looking for

average in all aspects, overall cleanliness below average. smell of stale smoke throughout building.

I was first put in a smoking room where I could hardly breathe, the stench of stale smoke was that bad. Moved to a non-smoking room which was much better. The hallways also smelled of stale smoke. When the room was cleaned, they neglected to restock important items like shampoo and toilet paper so I had to go down to the front desk for things. The overall appearance was run-down, but it was cheaper than the higher-quality hotels.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Reasonable price for a good place to stay.

Nice, clean, comfortable place to rest your weary bones. Easy off/on the highway, modestly priced, good breakfast (incl sausage patties), and it was nice to sit in the jacuzzi for a while (open until midnight) after four hours sitting in the car.

It was cheap and that's what we were looking for. The hotel room was missing a trashcan but that certainly wasn't the end of the world. The girl that checked us in was great, the man that checked us out could have been a little friendlier. The breakfast wasn't the greatest, but it was free.

Hall smelled of smoke. they were redoing the HOT breakfast, had rolls. Outside door stuck open. Ok for the money.
