Very close to Statefarm stadium, the rooms were very large and very up to date, restaurant and bar on premises which always a bonus. Staff was very friendly and it is was a very smooth check in and out process.

It was clean and the beds were comfy. The only thing i didnt care for was the hit tub in the pool area. It was dirty and did not have much power. Overall the stay was great and i would stay again.

Very good place to stay. A little bit pricy but it worth it.

Front desk was rude when I asked about a king bed, which is what I reserved. Told me she would get back to me. Didn't. I had to call back. Blow dryer did not work. No one knew where another one was. Went to a meeting with wet, unkept hair. The hotel was under construction and very dusty and dirty. On a positive note, the front desk lady the last morning I was there was great and helpful.

Under major rennovation and changing hotel ownership. Paid full price for this. Disappointing.

good location. room is big. we are on the trip to schampain. very convenient. good breakfast. polite staff

Dirty shower, unmade bed, loud and smelled like wet dogs in the hallway and the room.

2 problems! Lights between the beds didn’t work & 1 of the plug ins didn’t have a cover on it!

We booked a room for 6 occupants (4 adults and 2 kids), the room reserved was "2 Double beds suite including sofa bed". On our way we re-confirm the reservation details. Upon arrival we found out that the room was not properly furnished to accommodate 6 occupants. The staff on-site didn't have any authority to compensate the inconvenience. Manager on duty was absent. We checked-in around 12 midnight and it took more than an hour for the staff to provide couple of roll over beds. IT WAS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The location is ideal for visiting campus and attending sporting events at U of I. Easy, friendly check-in, a clean and comfortable room, and a pleasant overall experience make this an easy choice for me to come back and stay here again and again.

I stayed here because it was a great location near the University of Illinois. My room was pretty standard. Nice sized pool, but the workout room was tiny.

The good: Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and the best breakfast around! No baged eggs here and the bacon was very well done. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bad: Having a decent Wifi connection is really important to my business. Watching a computer icon spin because it can't hook up to the Internet is not my idea of a good time. Fix that and you've got a truly great mid priced hotel.

Perfect location, great rrom and comp breakfast.

Good breakfast, about a mile from campus. The bathroom could use an update.

Stayed at the Hawthorne Inn and Suites on a recent family road trip. There were 6 of us attending a family reunion in the Midwest and we needed a pet-friendly place to stay. We were pleased to find a very affordable rate on a big studio suite that accommodated all of us comfortably and included a wonderful hot and cold breakfast, complete with omelettes made to order.

For the price, the hotel is OK, however it shows its age. The air conditioning in the room was functioning at either high or off and the screen was full of debris. Room had a less than fresh underlying smell - air fresheners were topping it off. Mattress pad had plastic cover ... not a fan. Public areas fine and staff friendly.

Stayed here for three nights with my husband, mother, and sister. Room was nice and well appointed; staff was very friendly. Breakfast offered a lot of options, but nothing over the standard "free hot breakfast" options you would normally see -- EXCEPT they had some guy making omelettes, which was dope! Pool area was not the most inviting, but the pool and hot tub itself were fine and suited our needs. Over all I would recommend this hotel, but it was a bit more run-down than I would have expected for the location and the price.

Room was small by any standard. We paid a premium for a multiple room suite, and got a single room. Bathroom was so small we had to step in the shower to close the door. Room was dirty, refrigerator was gross, and the layout was anything but comfortable. Couch was in such poor shape you would fall thru when you sat down. Even the elevator looked like it had seen better days. Staff was very noncommittal, and service was slow. Parking was not close, and the reception area was quite congested. Overall this is not a very friendly place to stay.
