Not much we didn't like. It had everything we needed. Even without being about to serve a continental breakfast due to COVID, they provided some packaged breakfast foods that we could take back to our room. The room was comfortable, clean and very nice. Air conditioner (even when it wasn't running) made a weird "the dishwasher is running" kind of sound all night, but it didn't keep us from sleeping. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Spacious rooms, very clean and pleasant. Comfy beds.

excellent value for the price! would come again any time!

WThe hotel staff was great. The rooms overall appearance was top notch until you tried to sleep. The HVAC unit in the room was extremely loud and made high pitch noises every time it devised to cycle. Thus I seen every hour for a relentless night. The breakfast was good. But left for a big day extremely tired and not refreshed.

Clean hotel. Good breakfast. Great pool and hot tub. Clean room. Friendly staff

Room was quiet, beds were comfortable enough, location is decent, pool is small and warm, hot tub was great. Staff were easy to deal with, had a lot of key issues while there. All in all, good budget minding stay.

Stopping in Iowa City to tour city on drive out to Denver. No frills hotel but new, clean, and quite.

We were looking for something cheap for one night since we were going to be arriving late and leaving early. This hotel only had two stars, but when we got there, we were very pleased with the service, the cleanliness, and the size of the room. This place was a great value for what we paid!

I was greeted with a smile until the front desk rep realized that I had booked online. I confirmed two queen beds but as he handed me the key he said "you're in a smoking room though" [...]. Interesting. So, if my reservation was for a smoking room why the apology? Nope, he couldn't find us a non-smoking room, none available. The place was filled with 9 year old soccer players and their families. Kids running up and down the halls slamming doors for hours. The room absolutely reeked of smoke, not just a mild smoky smell, bad enough so that our throats were sore. I went back down to the desk to ask if there was an ionizer available. No. ANY chance of moving the next night to a non-smoking room. No. I gave up the fight, but truly feel that I was lied to at check in. Will never stay at this or any other Choice Hotel for fear that it's corporate policy to treat guests who book online as second class citizens. Didn't ask for much else during my visit, but I should say that the rest of the staff seemed pleasant enough.

Restfull

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time was a year ago. What a nice surprise to have the hotel desk clerk remember me! Super nice man and very helpful. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the location is perfect. I have family in Cedar Rapids (North of the hotel) and North English (West of the hotel). Then, with Iowa City right there and the Coraville Mall just a couple of miles away, - the location couldn't be any more PERFECT! The grandkids came over and spent a couple of hours in the pool and had such a great time. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to it.

Late arriving after sporting event. Went right to room and went to sleep. Got up in morning and left.

Everything was great with the hotel. The room was clean and staff were nice and helpful. Only thing is I wouldn't call their hot tub a hot tub, more like a garden tub with jets.

The Hotel manager went out of her way to make the best of a bad situation we encountered with Orbitz.
