The resort is well maintained, pools were crystal clear. Our room was thoroughly cleaned and the beds were tightly made up each day. Staff are extremely hard working and welcoming. The buffet had a different theme each night and was a nice change from the al la cart restaurant.

Very unimpressed with the front desk and check in service- the resort was beautiful but the service has been horrible. We were here as holiday inn owners for 6 days and booked one day via Expedia as they didn’t have a 7th night available as an owner. Front desk was rude, made us change rooms even after they confirmed we would not have too, new room 4 towels for 6 people, no beverages or water in fridge, tried to move us without warning us (showed up at 930 am while we were sleeping then called us to tell us we needed to be out asap after telling me the night before we could stay in the room until 12pm), asked for late checkout as flight at 11:00pm and would pay extra was told no abruptly and rudely, room service was rude and was continually questioning how much food we were ordering (6 people in room and they kept fighting with me telling me there were only 3 in the room- had to call front desk to have them call room service to tell them there were 6 of us after multiple encounters), when arrived was 5 bottles of water in the fridge asked for more as 6 people and room service fought with me saying there was 10 bottles and didn’t want to send me more. Resort and food was great- services HORRIBLE- very unhappy as resort owners!!!!!!

Family members had to switch rooms halfway through their stay due to time share holders. That’s what they say yet one family moved into the building the same one left from like they literally just switched buildings. Spa has crazy prices almost 300 Canadian for a 50 minute massage! 75 US for a pedicure but hidden cost of 19.99 us for nail polish. Buffet horrible! Not tasty and small limited choices. Shuttle only takes you to other resort and Mexican restaurant no where else. Beach nice but lots of choppy waves need to be careful it drops off in parts. Service poolside great and food is best at pool or sports bar. Ceramics expensive to do one small item was 40 us. It was just disheartening every way you look at it. We’ve been to Mexico several times and learned a lesson will never go to this resort again. Horrible experience for us all especially when you have to save up to go and then end up having this kind of experience.

We had a family vacation with 6 rooms. 4 families had to change rooms halfway through our vacation. Major focus on timeshare people and they have priority which didn’t make sense because they moved to the same building that the others left?? Why couldn’t they just stay? Staff don’t care about customers complaining they just ignore you. Had to reserve restaurants the same day not ahead of time. They barely have any openings two options for Mexican at 5 or 9 pm we booked for 5 pm get there and restaurant was literally empty until almost 8 pm. Buffet is very poor quality and choices. Best place to eat was sports bar, at the pool or room service. Not much variety got tired of the food after awhile. Shuttle only goes to the other hotel and Mexican restaurant that’s it. We were so disappointed although we tried to make the best of it. We will never book at this resort again. Beach was ok but ocean not safe in parts lots of consistent waves like every day was the same and drops off in places. Be careful
