"We stayed at the Otter Hotel for my cousin’s wedding. Upon arrival, our first impression was unfortunately not the best. The front desk staff member was not very welcoming, and her explanation of the check-in process came across as quite abrupt, especially considering we had reserved three rooms. It set a slightly sour tone at the start of our stay. That said, there were definitely positives. The hotel was very clean, and its convenient access to public transportation made getting to downtown Banff quick and easy. We also experienced an issue with the AC in our room; while the initial response from reception wasn’t particularly attentive, a maintenance staff member was sent up promptly. He was knowledgeable, professional, and offered effective solutions; his service really stood out. Overall, aside from the front desk experience, the hotel itself is beautiful (especially at night) and well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay."

"Was travelling with a pet and only stayed a night. All pet rooms are in main floor of 2 storey buildings. Floor and walls are paper thin and pipes squeal. Up every hour at night with upstairs bathroom breaks. It was like they were in my room. No sleep. Otherwise nice."
