Close to downtown and a comfortable stay.

As with most hotels in the area, the property is aging. It is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff are super friendly, and - if you do Banff properly - you're really not in your room much, anyway. Not that there was anything wrong with the room. The bathroom is very small with no counterspace (hardly room for a toothbrush! LOL!). While that isn't a problem for me/us, for others, it might be. The shower, however, is great! The water pressure and water temperature were just right. There is a bar fridge and a coffee maker in the room. There is no microwave. Again, not a problem for us, but this information may help someone. There are black-out blinds, which my daughter loved. Would I recommend that you stay here? 100%. It's very close to downtown, to a grocery store, and the bus stops right in front (I think?). The ski shuttle(s) also stopped here. We parked OUR vehicle and left it there all weekend, which was what our plan was all along. If you are looking for something fancy, then this is not your property. But if you're looking for a comfortable, friendly, well-located stay in Banff, then I would book here.

Our room wasn’t clean, popcorn on the floor. Black hair in the tub and the balcony door sliding lock was broken, only the door handle lock worked. The location is great very walkable, keep in mind if you check in later in the evening, you will not get parking.

Clean, comfortable room, beds and pillows. Great housekeeping staff. Helpful front desk staff. Right at ski shuttle stop. Close to shopping and restaurants. About halfway through our 6 night stay, our second floor hallway and our room filled with a heavy and bothersome campfire smoke smell.

Front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly, there are numerous buses living right in front of the hotel. I parked my car the entire three days and went everywhere by bus. It’s a short walk to all the restaurants and cafés downtown. Would stay again.

Hotel-older, sound travels, hard to sleep

The price for the time of year was excellent, the room itself was average. The problem was location of the room within the hotel. We could hear the activity at the front desk throughout the night. The staff was laughing and chatting and the sound carried and woke us up several times.
