We stayed one night here, needing a pet-friendly hotel near the new Braves stadium. The hotel is older but well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived a few minutes before check-in time and had no trouble getting our room. Everything in the room was clean, comfortable, and in working order. Wireless internet was good. In the morning, the breakfast area was busy and the staff was struggling to keep up with restocking, but they did. Our main complaint was that the hallways and lobby smelled like smoke, though no problem within our room.
The building is older but it's clean and well-maintained. Friendly staff, but they were loud at the desk talking to each other (and their friends) when guests were bleary-eyed and milling about for breakfast. Basic but comfortable room. Just off I-75. Recommended for a quick stay when you just need a place to lay your head and be on your way.
You get what you pay for. It was a fair stay. When we arrived 1 of the men behind the counter was running someone (apparently not a guest) out of the breakfast area. This was not very comfortable for my 8 yo daughter. We had everything we needed in the room, refrigerator, tv, etc. We got in late from the game & I was ready for good sleep. The bed was not very comfortable & the commode had something wrong with it that caused it to refill the tank, which was very loud, fairly often so I didn't get a good night's sleep. In hindsight I should have turned the water off so it would stop. Breakfast was Ok but free. Overall I would probably spend a bit more money for a better experience.
Pros-Check in was easy, room had fridge and microwave, close to food places and convenient stores, there is a nearby Walmart, not far from White Water, check out was easy, breakfast was average (bagel, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, and etc), pool was great (ice cold water though). Cons-first floor near elevators, housekeeping station, and outside window to the pool was nosier than I like. I am still waiting on my refund for one of my room nights to shown up on my card being that someone else paid for that night. Hopefully that will be soon. Overall good stay and I would stay again.
My wife and I had to book a this room at the last minute being pet friendly. I tried to contact management before this review by email but received no response. My wife and I are in our mid 50's and don't expect a five star suite. What we got was a filthy room with holes in the walls, stained ceilings, moldy bathroom with no water pressure at all. I went to walk my dog for a potty break around 1:00 AM only to find a parking lot full of questionable characters. Would never, ever stay here again.
An older hotel but the room was clean and the price was right. The building is "L" shaped and the section near the reception desk backs up to a busy local road. Rooms at the far end of the "L" are further away and should be quieter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches like a small welcome basket (water, apple, orange, Quaker chewy bar and popcorn) and fresh cookies at the check-in desk. The free breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. We would stay here again
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and although it wasn't the worse I've stayed at it definitely is no where near the best; as when you check into the lobby there is a sign behind the clerk claiming that it's a 4.4 rating hotel rated by hotels.com....go figure for yourself is what I was thinking. I mean from the outside judging and surrounding areas I was like no waaay. I mean visibly right up the street you can see another hotels towering sign that say $25 dollars a night. Of course it's a no name local hotel however any body who knows the business like I do knows that's not a good sign for at least quality. So if you read any of my previous reviews on quality inn and a horrible experience I had down in Charleston,SC you would wonder why in the world I would stay at another. So anyways upon check inn the clerk gives out this little snack gift basket; I'm thinking oh how awesome is this. I mean during the whole stay the staff was friendly. As far comfortability well you be the judge for yourself, but I can say the rooms on the second floor are as old as the hotel looked. My room smelled of mildew and I even saw mold in the walls of the bathroom. I also notice little tiny holes in the walls like every where. I just patched them up with toilet paper. Would I stay here again?, I probably would if my company pays for it like they did this time. As far as paying the $70-80 bucks as I heard it cost , noooo waaaay! I mean I heard that the prices of rooms went up in this area because of the new Atlanta Braves stadium and I guess in order for the low budget hotels to have to compete and pay rent they just Jack up their 2.5 rating to a 4.4 and give you a gift basket upon check in...lol.. So besides the rating deception and the loud guest on the weekend and the very thin walls I'll give this hotel an accurate rating of 2.5 -3.2
I was traveling with my daughter, her best friend and my 8 year old grandson. We arrived after 10 p.m. The night staff was terrific. The welcome basket with fruit, popcorn and water that they gave us was an awesome idea. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast selection was great. Our room was clean, comfortable beds/pillows, nice size refrigerator and microwave. I liked the coffee maker in the room, because sometimes you just need a cup before going down to breakfast. :) The pressure in the shower was good as well. This is an older hotel and renovations have been made, but you can still tell it's an older hotel. Despite the HVAC making the loud noise (I did not report this to the staff because I forgot and it really wasn't a big deal to us), I still give this location a 5 star rating and will use it again. We were there from April 28 to April 30, 2017.
Choice Hotels pay attention! I always complain about the tiny, lumpy pillows at your properties however that is not the case with this one. Wow! The bed was as comfortable as my own and the pillows are amazing! They are standard size and some kind of down alternative that feels like the feathers without the shafts. I didn't have to keep messing around with 2 or 3 little pillows to get comfortable. Now the rest...The staff was wonderful and breakfast was great. 2 kinds of waffles. I will stay again when I am in the area.
Got there after midnight after long and stressful drive through Atlanta. We were welcomed by a gentleman named Zalsat. He was very nice - checked us in right away, gave us a "welcome" basket of fruit, water, popcorn and snack bar. This hotel is old, but the room was very clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Great free breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.
