Stayed 4 night for a business trip in Alpharetta. The room is spacious, clean and well maintained during the entire stay, the staff is very friendly and the lication is great! Its far from the noise of the city but there are so many restaurants and shops nearby with various dining options.
Stayed here last night for a concert at Verizon Amphitheater. Nice hotel has Va little age on it but very very clean with excellent staff. Nikki ROCKS!! Waffle House is 50 steps out the front door. Goodtimes. Recommend this place for concerts at Verizon as they have a nice shuttle. No return from concert on shuttle but that's okay.
Ideal hotel for business people who have meetings in Roswell. You can find good restaurants such as Wild Buffalo Wings, PF Chang's etc. Uber taxis are easily available so moving around is easy as well.
It is an express hotel, so don't expect luxury. I didn't Accommodations were OK, nothing to write home about, but good enough to say a few nice things about them on TA. Why only a 3? They double billed me in February, and I'm still trying to get it sorted out with American Express in July. I paid $210 on expedia to make a reservation. They asked for the AMEX when I got to hotel for "incidentals"; but then I later found out they charged room directly onto AMEX at $175. So I was billed twice. Called them twice and connected, was told they were going to fix it, but they never did. Called AMEX and still trying to sort it out with them. Too much hassle. Moral of the story - never trust a Clinton!!! Hillary's spawn Chelsea was put on to board of directors of Expedia for who knows what reason other than nepotism and connections, Expedia does not save you any money; they charge you more, and I will refuse to ever use the Expedia service ever again !!!
This hotel may need some updating but it's clean and super quiet. The staff was great... answered every question I had ... took care of any concern I had. Just a wonderful staff. Derrick was a breath of fresh air .. so much fun.
Nothing within walking distance apart from a Waffle House and an excellent Indian restaurant (which I would really recommend). Other than those, make sure you have a car. The huge sprawling mall is a 1 minute drive though. Friendly staff. Standard Holiday Inn free breakfast in a nice room. Excellent free and fast WiFi. Good beds. Easy free parking. The door to my room didn't have soundproofing so I could really hear noisy people talking as they went by. No safes in rooms but it's a safe area. Fridge and microwave in room. TV was poor.
This property is clearly much older and in dire need of repairs, updates, etc., which is not obvious from the exterior or online photos. After our horrible check-in, we began to look at the room/hotel more closely, noticing many things that I won't bother to mention bc this review is already much too long. My daughter pointed out the '70s looking mismatched [literally thread bare cloth chair arms] w/vinyl "leather looking" seat cushion and ottoman. Cringe, after our stay, I can only imagine! I should have taken more pics to forewarn others bc I wish I had known prior to reserving and paying in advance for room(s) in this hotel. After two months, I am still sickened. Ewww, that whole creeping you out and making you feel like, "Don't walk, RUN!!" March 2017: My 16 yo daughter and I checked in late (after 11 pm) and upon entering our room were shocked to find a drink and snacks placed in front of the TV which was playing w/low volume, a towel tossed across disheveled bedding, and the bathroom door closed w/light on...perhaps someone was in there??? Frightened, we quietly backed out of the room and returned downstairs. After explaining to the front desk attendant, he "had no idea what happened, but gave us another room and offered 1,000 points for our trouble." This time he remembered to give us our usual (gold priority club) bottled water and snacks. We proceeded to our next room and at first blush, it appeared to be ok. We were exhausted after a 6 hour drive and it being very late, we quickly got into bed and were trying to wind down from the freakish event. From her bed, my daughter looked over and asked me what was on my bedskirt, then asked again, "Is that vomit?" OMGOSH, YES!!!! IT WAS VOMIT ON THE BEDSKIRT AND CARPET!!!! [pics included] By this time, it was well after midnight and we were already in bed, totally exhausted! I did not want to get redressed, go back downstairs, explain...repack and relocate to yet another room so I planned to handle the situation the following morning. We were awakened before 9 am the next morning by someone ENTERING our room WITH A KEY!! If not for the latch, this person would have walked right into our room while we were still sleeping!!!! Our fear had reached a whole new level so when we left to attend prom, we took our luggage with us. Upon leaving for check-out, we saw housekeeping in the hall outside our room so I asked her to follow me into the room and showed her the dried vomit on the bedskirt/carpet so it could be cleaned [maybe] for the next guests. At the front desk, I reiterated our many issues with yet another attendant when the housekeeping lady walked up and confirmed the dried puke. No one apologized or tried to make this right in even the smallest of ways...let me rephrase: ***NOT ONE PERSON APOLOGIZED FOR ANY OF THESE INCIDENTS!!! NOR DID I RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM MGMT AS PROMISED!!! NOR DID I RECEIVE ANY POINTS OR COMPENSATION!!!*** I am still mortified by the filthiness of this property! It is the most disgusting place I have ever encountered, anywhere, and the lack of support/respect from the staff...well I suppose that is to be expected from such a nightmare. Note: Our stay was fully paid in advance for both nights (Fri / Sat) hence the only reason for continuing our stay. In retrospect, we should have immediately left and notified credit card of the uninhabitable conditions of room/hotel.
First the positives. The location is very quiet, no matter which part of the hotel. The staff, particularly "Angel" were friendly, helpful and professional. The entrance to the hotel is very inviting, with a nice fireplace. The hallways and public areas seem pretty tidy, except overflowing exterior trash cans until late in the morning. The rooms are ok. The furniture is kind of tired, with nicks, scrapes, and pieces of laminate broken off. The tv satellite reception was the worst. There was more pixelation and "no signal" messages than actual normal boadcast (strangely enough, the ones in the lobby and loung areas worked fine). The bathroom was kind of shabby, with the smallest toilet I have ever seen. It was like sitting on the floor. The surrounding caulking job and attendant repairs in there were pretty amateurish. Worst, the water was very slow to drain from the tub. During a normal 5 minute shower, it was up to ankle-depth. Could only imagine the drain crud and how long it had been since they were cleaned. Yuk. How much time and effort would it take to put some Drano down there regularly? Breakfast was disappointing Coffee was barely lukewarm, ditto for the eggs and gravy on Sunday morning. A slight improvement on Monday, but not much. The attendants were uninterested at best. Attractive sitting area, with plenty of tables, though. Next time in the Atlanta area, I would seek other accomodations.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is located in a business area with access to a number of good restaurants in short driving distance. My room was clean and comfortable. The stay was very quiet without any outside noise that I experienced. Prices were pretty reasonable for the area. Some of my negatives include breakfast the next morning. It was below normal standards even for a Holiday Inn Express. Many of the items were cold or not appealing. Very mediocre and would rather have visit a restaurant. Bathroom itself is in need of updating. Noticeable wear on the tub, toilet and counter tops. The room itself is also suffering from the same wear. The bed was comfortable and did not find any issues there. Overall the hotel for the price and area is worth the price. If you are picky I might go for another Holiday Inn Express in the area.
Tooth paste on the shower curtin, shower curtin torn allowing water to pool on floor. Breakfast was terrible, knife was dirty, coffee was cold, eggs were cold, and the yogurt was expired. Maybe not the worst hotel stay I've had but defiantly the the worst in recent memory. Won't be staying here again on future trips to Roswell, GA
