Overall pretty good -

Room initially given had no water pressure, but was moved promptly to an adjacent room. Overall pretty clean and staff pleasant and prompt to help at all times. Shower in second room remained an issue - shower head did not fit in holder properly so moved around when in use and temperature control fluctuated quite a bit Property quiet and central for many sights and surrounded by plenty of food options. Again, staff never an issue - always friendly and happy to help, just facilities need a little work.

A lovely boho style motel. Very clean. Spacious. Very quiet air con/heating. Check in/out is in the bar which is lovely, but when we arrived we were told we got a free glass of wine, so we put our bags in our room and came back and got a glass of wine each. When we went to leave to get food, we were asked to pay - I said, ‘but you said we got a free glass of wine?’ And he said, “yes, one glass” I asked, “oh, not one glass each?” He said no. I found this slightly odd but ok, apart from the fact that we were booked in for two nights, paying the same price each night, so surely that should equate to 2 free glasses? This isn’t a complaint, just my opinion. Everything else was totally spot on and we would definitely stay again.

The staff were so pleasant. The rooms were clean and beautiful decorated. The bed has a memory foam mattress. It even has a mini fridge.

This is a nice motel that is renovated and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. The area is loud and can get pretty busy. The Monterey felt like a nice tucked away place on Central Ave.

Great staff, complimentary cocktails in a cool lounge on site and clean, stylish rooms. The surrounding neighborhood is a work in progress, but you can talk to some good restaurants, and also walk to trails along the Rio Grande.

Cross country trip.

Loved this cute historic route 66 motel.. Renovations are modern, room was spacious with a living area and the most comfortable bed. A couple of observations, the bathroom floor sounding like cracking when walking on it. May be due to water damage under the flooring. Loved the walk in shower but water does get on floor. The area is walkable to Old Town Alburquerque and the River park. The complimentory glass of wine at check in was unexpected, and appreciated. Olivia was very knowledgeable of the area.Wish we had more time to explore Alburquerque. Will stay here again
