Fun atmosphere

Myra the Front desk/manager is the best !! She worked with me with my reservation change and is a organized, friendly fun person. The bartender in the tap room is awesome and The property is clean, engaging and fun. Had a great stay! Thank you :-)

Cute restoration. Eco friendly soap and shampoo dispensers. Comfy bed.

We really appreciated the vintage aspect of the motel, its amenities and its proximity to other restaurants and bars. We parked and could walk to anything we needed, dinner, breakfast, cocktails. The rooms are very well appointed and we were thrilled to have ceramic coffee mugs, glassware for water/wine and a crowler for beer fills in their Tap Room. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Shout out to Lena, reception, and Whitney, Tap Room. Our only recommendation is to have at least one of the on-property restaurants open every day of the week. We were there on a Tuesday and all of them were closed. While other restaurants are nearby, we would have preferred to stay on property and enjoy some of the unique offerings. We’re already planning our return visit as we drive across country this summer.

This property was so cool! My friend and I were driving through Albuquerque for one night and wanted a unique place to stay. The El Vado Motel was just that. The rooms have clearly been redone and are super comfortable and clean. The history of the motel was an added bonus. We loved that we were able to walk 10 steps outside of our room and have access to multiple restaurants, an outdoor seating area and shops. If I'm ever driving through Albuquerque again, I'll definitely be back. The one con, and it is very minimal, is the parking situation. There are very limited spots "reserved" for hotel guests and the rest of the parking is public parking that seems to be combined with the apartment complex next door. I didn't have any trouble finding a spot, but I was a bit concerned about my car (it was filled with all my stuff since I was moving across the county) being in a public parking lot. However, for the price of this stay and the uniqueness, I would say this is a very minimal con.

The onsite tap room, food stands and live music was awesome!

A variety of reasonably restaurants on site with outdoor/covered central seating. Wifi password should be posted in rooms. Information book in room had missing pages. Very nice place to stay.

Had our wedding night here! Was absolutely lovely and staff was not only kind but happy to see us newlyweds there :)

It was so cool to learn about the history of the motel. It makes me happy that people are willing to save pieces of hisorty for us to enjoy in the future.

Loved our suite - great style and very clean! We also loved the restaurants and shops being so close by. When we stayed there was also live music on the patio and we had such great time enjoying the food and the music. Abq really needed something like this! I only gave "4 stars" for amenities though because the beds were just a bit uncomfortable.

My husbands family is originally from ABQ and we have spent a lot of time I’m this town and stayed at many different places, with that being said I’m so happy to have found El Vado we absolutely loved this place. We stayed with our 2 year old and it was so convenient. We stayed at the end room so literally on the other side of the locked gate there was a pizza place, coffee place, and taco place, on top of many other shops also a splash pad for the little ones! We will stay at el Vado from here on out! Thanks for helping us make the best vaca for our l.o.
