If you want to leave Switzerland to experience the wonders of New York City, visit Orbitz.com to book cheap flights from Zurich to New York. Once you arrive in what many believe to be one of the greatest cities in the world, you’ll have endless options for fun and entertainment.
Zurich Airport, located approximately eight miles from the city’s center, serves travelers flying in and out of the city. Expect to pay about twenty-five Swiss francs to get from downtown Zurich to the airport by taxi. Thirteen regional buses transport passengers to Zurich Airport from locations throughout the city for a fare of two Swiss francs. If you decide to drive, long-term parking is available for four-hundred Swiss francs per month.
Your flight into New York will arrive at one of three airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, or Newark Liberty International Airport. Traveling from any of these airports to Manhattan by taxi will take between forty-five and sixty minutes and will cost between $40 and $70. Shuttles from Newark Liberty International Airport take passengers to downtown Manhattan for rates starting at $8. Rental cars kiosks are available at each airport, but if you plan to spend most of your time in Manhattan, your best bet is to travel by taxi or subway. You can hail a taxi on virtually any street corner in New York City, and subway stations are located on most street corners as well. The cheapest and quickest way to get around the city is by subway, which costs $2.50 per passenger. Once you get settled, there is an almost endless number of things to do in the city. See a world-famous play on Broadway, or check out a show at Madison Square Garden. You can also visit Times Square and hop on one of the many tour buses to get a first-class view of many of the city’s attractions.
