Beautiful lakefront home with great large front porch and large back porch overlooking a quiet lake cove. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a nice weekend. We rented for the weekend to be close to VIR for a race weekend. The house was very close to the track. The next time we rent, we will actually have to use the home for the lake!

Great place to stay near VIR

Great place for a group. Close to VIR. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. The pellet grill was perfect for cooking a few steaks.

Enjoyable

The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our large group. The outside space was the star of the show. The back deck is large and comfortable with plenty of seating and was ultimately used more than the inside. The area is secluded and quiet but still only about 15 minutes from restaurants and grocery stores in nearby Roxboro, and less than 40 minutes from the Danville Casino. The host was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. I so highly recommend this home that halfway through our stay, we booked it again for next year.

Nice house near VIR

Nice house with three bedrooms on upper level and a very large bedroom downstairs with multiple beds. I would call the downstairs the kids room, with its own bathroom/shower. Nice kitchen, small table for dining and living room is of decent size. Covered decks along the front and rear of the home. We had only one issue and that was entry into the property, however the owner was readily available and remotely sent a new code which worked. Overall, a nice property. Final note, you may want to ask the owner if the property has dock access. We rented the property for the purpose of being close to VIR for our competition weekend and didn’t truly explore the property. Again, nice home and we are thankfully to the owner opening his home for our team.

Beautiful Vacation Home

Lovely, well-maintained house as described in listing. Plenty of room for activities. We especially enjoyed playing games on the back porch. Bret was an excellent host. Easy to reach and communicate with. We would definitely consider staying there again!

Perfect lakehouse!

We booked this house for a week during a music festival at VIR. It was perfect! The house was beautiful, and it was a very quick drive to the venue. Bret was very accomodating, and even let us check in early when we arrived ahead of schedule. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful house

We had a great time. House was clean (looked newly renovated) and comfortable. Could get right into the lake from the yard—we used kayaks, paddle boards and also brought our own rafts. Our friends with a pontoon boat picked us up at the neighbors’ dock (neighbors were very friendly). We went to Danville which is fairly close. Also enjoyed the ping pong table. All rooms were comfortable and we stayed downstairs in very large room with private bath while our friends stayed on the main floor.

Lovely house

The house is beautiful. Everything worked as it should. Very clean. The basement area was perfect for my daughter and her husband and my 3 grandchildren. Ages 2, 4, and 7. Plenty of seating all around. The only downfall was limited dressers to store clothes away and there was no where to hang anything. We were there for a wedding and needed to hang suits and dresses. Over all excellent house!!
