Stay Dates: April 24–28, 2025
Our recent stay at the La Quinta Inn in Rancho Cordova, CA, was deeply disappointing and concerning on multiple levels. From the moment we arrived, the cleanliness and safety of the property were clearly unacceptable.
The condition of the hotel interior was extremely poor. The carpets, walls, windows, and mirrors were visibly dirty. On the third floor, there was a strong and persistent smell of urine in the hallway that extended into our room. The baseboards were caked with grime, and the carpets and furniture were badly stained—some with what appeared to be crusted food or bodily fluids.
Most alarming were the cockroaches we found in our room and in the dining area near the lobby—an issue we have documented with photos. Additionally, we witnessed non-guests entering the hotel and helping themselves to the complimentary breakfast, only to be asked to leave after it was confirmed they had no reservation. This raises significant concerns about guest safety and hygiene.
Though the staff were courteous, they informed us that due to full occupancy, they were unable to move us to another room. The hotel was filled with what appeared to be large groups of college students, who were disruptive. The elevators were unsafe, shaking and bouncing noticeably. Despite this, we were told the stairwells were inaccessible.
This was by far the worst hotel experience we have had, and I would strongly urge others to reconsider staying at this property.
