The food was way overpriced, in the main restaurant. The dishes were pretentious and not tasty. Rolly was rude upon entry to the restaurant. He asked if we had a reservation (although the restaurant was nearly empty), then he tossed our menus on to the table and left us. It felt like we had been an inconvenience. The staff at the cafe were excellent and friendly. Check in and check out was easy The gym facility was overcrowded with equipment that was in poor condition. The pads on various weight machines were torn and had foam stuffing coming out of the damaged vinyl.

Brookstreet is my favourite hotel in the Ottawa area for a stay-cation, and for a place to stay after concerts at the CTC. The staff is always great, it's super clean, the beds are comfortable, and I love a hotel room with no carpet. The kids and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub and even had it to ourselves for quite awhile on a Wednesday morning between 9 - 10! It was lovely.
