The 7th floor smelled like cigarettes and the room wasn’t very clean. I wish I could share my pictures
If you have to go to Kanata (Canadian Tire Centre) or have business in this area, the property is close (12 minutes to CTC), but this is not a "Resort" as one might expect from going to resort properties around the world. I thought the service in the restaurant was POOR on a Sunday AM, asking at 8am if I had a reservation when not one table was being used and that they were expecting a rush later that day. Literally not one person was in the place. It was very odd. Free visitor parking was nice, but overnight parking was not mentioned to have a fee at booking if I recall, but they have you once you are at the hotel. While I did not use the indoor pool, I saw parents taking their kids and heard nice reviews about it when I asked if it was fun, they declared it was a nice December treat. Bed was comfy, window shades did not entirely block the light from the window on the bottom of the curtains in my room. Internet was a bit slow on the 14th floor. TV channels had nice mix of Canadian and U.S. networks. Coffee spot was reasonably priced in hotel. Don't look for a 11 pm bar to be open on a weekend at this property. I thought that was a bit weird since their was nothing else in the vicinity to go for hotel guests.
Thé room size and all the precautions for the covid. Clean room and very confortable bed.
Stayed here for a Sens game as we heard that visiting NHL teams use this hotel. Please it was correct intel and we got to see our Blackhawks in the lobby as they left for the game.
