We had a great stay at Al's place. An easy drive to New London and Mystic. Very comfortable and stocked with lots of extras. We will definitely book again if we come back to this area!

Quiet getaway

It was a pleasant stay at this property. The property manager was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a tour of the amenities when we arrived and was very pleasant to speak with. The entire property was peaceful and serene. We brought along our pet who also enjoyed exploring the grounds surrounding the rental. My husband and I did not use the pool as we are more private people. Be aware the pool may be used by other Vrbo guests during your stay which is not a bad thing, just not our preference.The home was stocked well with water and essential condiments in the fridge. I also appreciated the access to the grill on the deck. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet get away

Al was very polite and informative on the location. The detached house on the property is very nice and secluded. Being the property was on well water Al went a step above to make sure that he had supplied seperate drinking water which was nice. The property was very clean and tidy. Although we didnt get a chance to go in the pool due to weather it seemed like one of the best views to swim with. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway thats about 10-20 minutes away from casino/aquarium fun!

lovely small house

This rental was decorated well and in beautiful condition. The owners live on-site in a gorgeous home. The beautiful view and pool are added features of this rental.. Everything I needed was there along with a gas grill to barbecue on.I am handicapped and didn't realize there was no close parking and there were stairs to go down to get to the home away from home but the owner helped me both times to carry in and out what I needed.

Wonderful family stay!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament for our daughter and had an amazing stay. It was so easy. Al is a wonderful proprietor. The refrigerator is stocked with basics so you don't have to bring everything. The setting is stunning and the pool was fun :) Highly recommend!

Beautiful location

We loved our trip. The cottage is beautifully done and the views incredible. We appreciated the hospitality extended by our host (and Nico the dog!) and enjoyed exploring the nearby woodland. Our kids are already asking if we can go back and visit again.

Montville Fall viewing

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Everything was as represented, or better. Our host was helpful, thoughtful and very accommodating. We recommend this property to anyone wanting a true New England experience.

Charming Countryside Chalet minutes from the City

This is incredible find and Al, the host, could not have been more hospitable. The rental is so close to downtown New London and Niantic and the highway that it was easy to get to and from all major necessities and recreation. We loved the design of the guest house and had everything we needed (air fryer added from the pictures only). The grounds were meticulously kept and the pool was inviting and warm! The view was unparalleled, especially when considering how close to a city we were. Looks just as good as it does in the pictures. I would strongly recommend this booking and already am daydreaming about returning.

Absolutely wonderful

Al was a fantastic host and the accommodations were just as described. Off the beaten path but still close to restaurants. We had planned on staying in Mystic but are glad we chose Al’s beautiful guest house.

Relaxing and Beautiful

The guest house was cozy and well stocked. We had a great and relaxing stay. We didn't have great weather to enjoy it, but the deck and outdoor space were lovely, and the view was amazing. The host was very helpful and attentive.

Hidden Gem

Wow! If anything, the pictures don't do this property justice. Views for days, especially from the balcony, the cleanest pool I've ever swam in, and a well furnished and cared for interior. Al, the host, was also extremely accommodating. The location is pretty far off the beaten path, and really gave a sense of peaceful isolation - a true "getting away from it all" feeling. Being able to drive 20 mins to a fantastic beach, and then escape those crowds and head back here was a true treat. Bonus points for being pet friendly - being able to take out dog on vacation with us just made everything a little better!

Beautiful views - Very nice owners on property

This place is the owner's guest house and it is pet friendly. It is a beautiful property with a pool and terrific views of nature. The owners are super nice and live in the main house on the property. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our long weekend there.

Private, quiet peaceful

We really liked this location. It was separate from the main house. Really quiet and peaceful. Room was great, it has a separate bedroom which is nice since I’m an early riser and my wife is not. There is a pool but due to the time of year, we were unable to use it. I can see staying here in the summer and spending the day by the pool and just relax.

Beautiful Respite

The friendly homeowners were have created a cute cottage home that exudes warmth and relaxation. Clean home that’s perfect for a 2-3 day getaway in the fall/winter or just a spot to rest your head while visiting family in the area. The views are lovely. Local breakfast spots were delicious. Would come back.

Hidden Gem

Newer listing that is sure to get booked up quickly. Cozy, great location with spectacular view. Everything you need for a peaceful retreat including a pool for warmer weather. Our stay was a little off season but the location we close to everything we wanted to visit. Would highly recommend and we will certainly check availability if visiting the area again.
