We were given one of the two rooms located in the basement level. The hotel overall is well-kept and clean. The room was very small, thought this was expected. The realization is that the square footage is a bit too small for two people to move around even when arriving late and just staying for a single night. Things that were not expected: The bed was way softer than average, borderline unusable for sitting as it sank too much. It was ok when laying on it, but for a small room with no chairs, not being able to sit comfortably on the bed is a problem. The hotel is very well located but this benefit comes with the cost of hearing the noise of the train going every few minutes. The shower had a little handle piece missing to make a shower head change and the sink accumulated water and was not easily draining. The floor tower was soaking wet when we wanted to use the shower for the first time, we had to use a hand towel for the floor instead. The hotel staff were friendly, and apologetic as we expressed all the issues at checkout. Because we were only there for one night we didn't have time to provide feedback during the stay and chose to do it at checkout. However, these are a lot of issues for a single-night stay. We are glad we were not there for longer.

Just alright

Room small, even for London terms. Service was variable depending on who you got. Check in lady was pleasant as was another lady and man who we met during our stay. Young lady on check out couldn’t have been more disinterested or blunt if she tried. I booked an executive room and the room we got was far from that. Breakfast was alright - nothing special. Daughters teddy was left behind by mistake in error, never turned up.

Super convenient and straightforward hotel. Easy and efficient check in. Our room up on the 5th floor was fine, if a little tired. The curtains need to be rehung and the water pressure in the shower was very weak! There was also no bedside lamp which was a bit annoying. That said, the room was clean, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. Great hotel for one night 😊

I would stay at the Morningside again. The staff were incredible. They made *every* effort to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast exceeded expectations. My only grumble is with the current construction in the adjacent property. International travelers who are looking to sleep in after 8am will want to book an alternative hotel for at least the next 12 months.

London trip!

The rooms were clean. Myself and 4 of my friends stayed here. The rooms were pretty small but I think that’s just a European thing. I had a double bed room type and it was perfect for myself. It maybe could have fit one other person comfortably, but that’s about it. Majed or Maged (not 100% sure how to spell it) was great! Very nice & professional young man. I called to the front desk on two different occasions and he brung the items to the room within 10 minutes! I felt safe in the area. The hotel is quiet, clean and cute. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

I had not planned on posting pictures or complaining about the state of my room when I first entered it, as I genuinely only planned on showering and sleeping there, but if this review helps even one person avoid a bad experience, it'll be worth it. The floors hadn't been vacuumed in some time, with popcorn, buttons, string, toenails/ fingernails, dust, and various types of liter lining the carpet of the room, the paint on the wall looked atrocious and was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom, leaving bits of paint on the counter, the cups in the bathroom were dirty, and there was hair and mold in the shower. You can hear people entering and exiting their rooms at all hours of the day/ night, hear their conversations, and hear them walking across the floor. They claim the internet is secure, but it is actually open to everyone in the area, allowing anyone with unsavory intentions to watch what you're doing online. Their staff, which seem friendly at first meeting, make disparaging comments about your nationality and disability, and when you bring it to their attention, they threaten to sue you. Avoid at all costs.

The room was small and in no way an executive room. Was given 407, right next to the lift. The shower was stuck on a hot temperature, which was mentioned to reception. Staff were friendly enough, place was clean, despite building works happening in next door building, which could be heard from 9 am and which wasn’t mentioned when booking.

This was a perfect location! Hotel staff is wonderful, close to great metro stations, easy to make it from the aiport via paddington station. We could roll our suitcases to the hotel, streets allow it. The hotel breakfast is the best! Hot breakfast and they prepare wathever you want from the menu. The room was small but accomodated a small extra bed for our daughter. It had all you needed! Internet wssnt the greatest though, disconnected constantly but that wanst a problem for us. Overall, loved our stay here so much!
