Perfect place for a large group - the kitchen in particular is huge and unlike many other rentals I’ve been to, well-equipped does actually mean well-equipped. Beautiful surroundings as well.

Girls weekend

I stayed here with a handful of friends for my birthday, and this place was perfect. The kitchen is stunning and was beyond well-stocked, the bed was one of the most cozy I've ever slept in, and the hot tub was perfect. It was also a nice short and easy walk into town. The place was very clean, but a few areas could use a better wipe down. As mentioned above, the beds were wonderful but very bright in the morning. The two upstairs rooms did not have blinds.We all talked about how we wanted to make staying here a yearly tradition.

Mini girls trip to celebrate a friend. House was beautiful and very well stocked with supplies. Beautiful kitchen. Hot tub was amazing. Wonderful shops in close range. Definitely recommend and will be returning in the future.

Great house!

Beautiful house, really well stocked and great vibe. Everything worked, even the generator kicked in right away when the power went out to the whole area. Loved it. Also super easy to contact when we locked ourselves out. I also appreciated how easy they make the check out. If only the weather would have been better!

Perfect Weekend!!

Our family recently stayed at The Mountain House for a long weekend. The place was great and I would highly recommend it. The house was as described, convenient location and very comfortable for us. The hot tube was clean and worked perfectly. We also enjoyed the large deck and yard, that our son especially liked playing in. The host was easy to contact and responded quickly. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely return.

Fantastic stay

Beautiful house and location, owner spared no expense remodeling this home. Plenty of room to spread out, owner was a pleasure to work with and accommodating to our schedule. We will definately stay here again, felt like a Gilboa class of 77 reunion.

Summer hiking getaway

Great house for several couples or families to share. Our hiking getaway was enhanced by staying at this beautifully updated, cozy and comfortable home. Very clean and well stocked! Plush towels, gorgeous kitchen with everything you need to cook meals, as well as double ovens & two refrigerators (not to mention a wine cooler). Beautiful fireplace and comfy couch. Even spotted a bear in the neighborhood! Loved our stay - we’ll be back.

AMAZING!!!

This house was so perfect and we could not have asked for a better place to stay in this charming little town. The house was clean and in great condition. We loved the hot tub and it was a nice added bonus in the snow and cold weather. Plenty of placed to eat and drink, and very close to Windham Mountain. The property managers were easy to communicate with. Book this house!! You will LOVE it!!!

Bachelorette weekend

The house was great! Plenty of space. The kitchen was amazing. The dining area and living room was nice and cozy. The back patio was great and the view amazing!! The gas fire pit was not working and the wood fire pit had a hole at the bottom which was disappointing. Other than that it was a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

Wonderful & relaxing Windham stay

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property for a long ski weekend. Beautiful and well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and lovely patio views with a spacious hot tub. Location great for getting into town and only a few quick turns to get you to the Windham mountain base. Would stay again!

Overall a great stay

We just had a lovely ski weekend at The Mountain House. The location and view are both excellent, the hot tub and fireplace are cozy/fun amenities, and the recently remodeled kitchen was wonderful to use and spend time in. The house is a bit “loud” in the sense that noise travels easily throughout the whole house, so sleeping was a bit difficult, especially in the smaller upstairs bedroom. I’d also recommend more furnishings in the upstairs bedrooms (nightstands, nightstand lamps, dresser, and improved mattresses), but other than the upstairs bedrooms, we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Windham Retreat
