Terrible experience. When we arrived at our room, the toilet was spraying water out of the bowl onto the seat and the floor. We called the front desk to have them come fix it. A guy came and worked on it. As soon as he left the room, it sprayed again. We called back and when the guy came back to the room, he blamed us for messing with the toilet, which we hadn't even used. As he was leaving the room, he informed us that he wanted to quit, but the hotel wouldn't let him. After working on it a second time, the toilet continued to spray. We called the front desk a third time and the guy got on the phone and started yelling at my wife. The hotel refused to give us a new room. We had to deal with this issue the entire time we were there. When we contacted Sonesta, they refused to offer any type of a refund on the room. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The customer service was horrible and there was absolutely no hospitality. Our ice maker didn't work, and there are no ice machines in this hotel. Additionally, there was no bedding provided for the pull out sofa, even though we informed them that our kids would be staying with us. After requesting the bedding, it took 45 minutes and a phone call to the front desk to get them delivered to our room. While this hotel is in a great location, and overall is a nice hotel, the customer service is awful!

The property was wonderful and clean. My complaint was the male manager . I had lost my purse the night before at the hotel. I left my phone in and name to call me. Luckily the kind lady wno found it left at front desk and searched on line for my phone number. He never I called but she did!! If not for her I wouldn’t known.😣

We stayed in an apartment with kitchen and found the room anmd facilities to be excellent. Staff were always very pleasant and helpful. Gym is a little small but does the job. Laundry room use was not straight forward and could be much easier. Overall great place to stay in Chicago and would stay again

We really enjoyed our stay but we found one of the morning male staff desk attendants was very lazy at refilling the hot water for the coffee bar, there were some homeless people slipping in and getting coffee and staying on outside gated patio, television reception was very poor, for the amount I paid to stay I was a little disappointed. The cleaning , kitchen and valet staff were excellent.

The staff, suite and breakfast was deluxe. I made my reservation on expedia ...so be prepared to pay $100 deposit per stay .. I paid $400 additionally for my 4 night stay. I feel this should be included in fine print.

I sadly have to say that I was extremely disappointed by the cleanliness and appearance of our room. The reviews were excellent and the information boasted “newly remodeled rooms”. There was hair in the bathroom, all types if you catch my drift, the “remodel” was just paint covering old walls and doors. The kitchen area was new and had everything we needed, however the stove had hair on it. There were no sheets for the fold out couch, luckily we brought our own. The 2 small elevators caused quite the wait time and we actually got stuck in it for over a minute. We were about to call for help before it started up again. The staff was wonderful, extremely kind! The free breakfast was delicious and they mixed it up a little each morning. I would stay here again if it cost me half the price. I feel a bit sick to my stomach knowing how much I paid for our room.
