We were disappointed in all the noises you can hear from neighboring rooms. Toilet, sink and shower are all very loud. Not much of a breakfast. Have stayed in holiday inns before and have had much better breakfasts. Expected a bit more for $200.00 per night! Expensive

Our tv kept going to a screen looking for a 20 minute update that never moved from 0 progress. The outlet for our coffee maker did not work had to plug in to bathroom outlet. The hotel desk staff were very welcoming.

The area and property is good now the room is a different story. Heat and a/c don't work. The fan in the bathroom don't work. We found old receipts im guessing from previous guest which that tells me they didn't clean the room properly.. for being a holiday inn i would of expected better

We booked the Holiday Inn in Carbondale as our son had a tour of SIU. It is a quck drive to campus. We asked to check in and hour early and was told we needed to join HGI in order to do that. The desk clerk enrolled us. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was just ok. Nothing hot. And they did not have white milk for the cereal. I think they are remodeling in order to have a hot breakfast.
