Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly decorated, with a comfortable bed and a balcony that gave us the perfect sunrise each morning. The pools and beach area were immaculate, with plenty of loungers and attentive staff ready to bring fresh towels or a refreshing drink. We also enjoyed the amazing dining options on-site—each restaurant offered delicious food, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve ever had. Beautiful overall, but the beach on the resort's property was full of dense kelp that made the water practically impossible to enjoy. Playa Tortuga is a short bus ride away and was lovely. The only food we ate in the resort was from their convenience store. Options were limited but decent. Restaurants across the street are pricey and mid. And the cusines inside the resort are limited.

Everything was great from the moment we arrived until our departure. Everyone at the hotel was very professional and with outstanding customer service. The restaurants, bar and pool were amazing. My son and wife loved it. We will definitely stay here on our next trip back.

The area was super clean, and as always, JW Marriott lives up to an outstanding service reputation. The bathrooms have updated designs and are very clean. However, when anyone uses the toilet, the sound is a loud echo. This is very embarrassing. The staff is extremely accommodating. The rooms are spacious, safe, clean, a nice selection of restaurants

The service at the hotel was excellent! This would be a nice hotel for a quick 3 night stay with your spouse. However, it is not suitable for children at all. The restaurants are too fancy. Hard to find a decent casual meal on property or even within walking distance of the property. The beach was awful. No kids activities or music on property. Very quiet hotel. Rooms do not accommodate a family well. Double beds are tiny, but they did bring a rollaway free of charge. We visited in July and the construction was a nuisance the entire trip.

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott in Cancun and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While we weren’t expecting a party scene, the resort was absolutely dead. There was hardly any atmosphere - barely any music, no energy, and just an overall lack of vibe. It felt more like an empty conference hotel than a relaxing beachfront resort. The food was disappointing, especially given how exorbitant the prices are. Nothing stood out - bland flavors, limited options, and nothing that justified the cost. The drinks were equally underwhelming, mediocre quality at best and again, way overpriced. The beach was a major letdown. It smelled terrible during our stay, and we found it pretty unpleasant to spend time there. Given that beachfront access is a huge part of why people come to Cancun, this was a huge strike against the experience. To be fair, we chose this resort knowing we’d be spending most of our time off-property doing excursions and exploring the area, so the lackluster resort itself didn’t completely ruin our trip. But if you're planning a more resort-centered vacation, I would not recommend staying here. You'll likely be bored, disappointed, and frustrated by the value you’re (not) getting.
