Very Good

Our family has had a generally pleasant stay at Charlton. The staff is attentive and helpful. However as a motel-like accommodation that charges C$ 600 per night (which you should expect in the peak season in the popular small Banff town), there are a few points I have to say:
1. Both the interior and exterior need a serious refurbishment.
2. The sound proof in the room is even poorer than a real motel.
3. The charged onsite car parking for the guests is pointless. The inn locates outside the fee-parking zone of Banff.
Nevertheless, I'm still appreciated I am able to find a place to stay in the peak season Banff town for my family vacation.
Great location walkable to main strip lots of dinning options near by. Stayed in the loft room was nice and comfortable found it a little tight in the sitting area wish they had a chair or something. Room holds 4 people but has only a small couch for 2. Pool was closed had to walk to the next property in the thunderstorm.
Great layout of the room. Two rooms separated by the kitchen.

Poor Management
We had issues with management about checking out a day earlier. They said we had to give them 72 hours notice and we only gave them 68 hours. Internet service was bad. And beds were not good!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Hot tub and Pool were down.. but loved the stay regardless
Lovely hitel, a little dated but large clean room with plenty of facilities. Staff were extremely helpful. Great central location and offers on some parking.
Staff weren’t available to help us with our luggage upon arrival. The room was not what we had expected based on the pictures, and the room we stayed in was overpriced by quite a fair margin. Our bedroom was up a set of dangerously steep spiral steps while the bathroom was on the main floor. Flooring was old and dirty so we wore our shoes and slippers throughout our stay when in our room. If you love your family don’t let them stay at the Charlton Banff.

One of the towels received was not clean. The warm faucet was broken. The lobby was closed at 10:55 PM even though the listed hours are 11:00 PM
Great location, walkable to downtown. Staff were awesome! Room very clean, we were happy to find that we were upgraded! Bed and linen very comfy! Highly recommend!
