This hotel was about $15.00 cheaper for a King Size bed with pet fee than the local competition. Room was spacious, clean, and heater worked great. Had strict rules about where you could smoke, and where dog could do it's business. However, the make your own Texas shaped waffle made up for management's authoritarian idiosyncrasies. On the other hand, poor quality coffee is unforgivable, particularly when milk or half & half are the only coffee creamer options available.
I have rented the same room for several years for annual cycling event. The room has been pretty much the same in the past. Same carpet, paint and facilities. The room has been nicely upgraded since 2016. New paint and flooring and lighting and bathroom facilities have been been replaced and upgraded. Coffee and breakfast provided. Staff always very responsive to needs. Thanks so much for the upgrades!
This is our 3rd year to stay at this hotel for this event. Rm was clean and updated, bed was comfortable, air worked great. Staff was super nice. Bedspread seems a bit old,but I think it is cultural. For the price, great stay!
Great improvements to facility. Staff was most helpful and courteous. Made reservations for next year. Family comes from the Dallas area and I am from New Braunfels, TX. Love the airbase support on the ride. Go! Wichita Falls!!
Great staff, friendly service. Close to many dining spots and MPEC. Danny Patel is a very respectable manager, eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Don't let this place fool you, it's an old building but the clients that stay here during Hotter n Hell have stayed here for over a decade! Many booking as the check out for the following year!
Each year we stay here for the annual Hotter'n Hell Hundred bike ride. The location is very close to the start line so the hotel is at full capacity, nevertheless, the manager, Danny and his entire staff are very nice and do a great job taking care of everyone. Our clean room had been refurbished from our prior stay and we are already looking forward to our August 2017 visit!
OK, this isn't the Ritz, but for what I paid I really cannot complain! It was close to the places I needed to get to, the room was clean (if a bit dated) and cool, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! I would have to say it's quite close to a major road so there was traffic noise through a lot of the night but beyond that I didn't hear a thing, you'd have thought I was the only person in the place! The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a coffee machine in the room. I found out that there was coffee available 24 hours a day in reception, which is nice, but there's quite like having it brewing in the room in the morning! Don't be put off by the negative reviews, I think this is a great little place for the price and would definitely stay again!!
It never fails that every single time I've stayed here the lady at the front desk is super rude to me. I understand I may come off as a little desperate to get into my room but it is a 16 hour drive that I have to make, and I've explained this to her. The first time she wouldn't let me check in early even with the early fee, or even sit in the lobby because I had my dog with me so I had to sit in my car for another two hours. This time there was also a huge dead bug in my floor, my air conditioner unit was broken, like the bottom literally fell out of it. And my door didn't lock.
I stayed one night on my way to Amarillo. It's a great travel location, but the carpet had black stains on it, my bath towel had a red blemish on it and the orange juice for breakfast was practically water. One night was plenty to know not to stay there again.
I booked 3 room suite it pictured kitchen area, when I got there no knobs was on stove , they do reconstruction so stuff was everywhere and I stayed upstairs and other guest sat on steps by my room talking loud and smoking most of the night. I ended up just leaving earlier than expected
