hard to get to from the expressway. fixture of the handicap room did not work

I liked the location and is very comfortable, easy to find and near many restaurants and the next time i need a hotel, i will look for Hampton Inn!

Check in and staff was fine. The first room we were checked into had some type of bugs crawling on the walls. One or two I could have dealt with but there were at least a dozen and I couldn't figure out where they were coming from. The staff was very understanding when switching rooms and the second room was fine.

It was a great stay and have the best breakfasts and would recommend to anyone

If the bed had been more cushioned, it would have been perfect. Lovely room, nice shower and bathroom, good breakfast, good location, nice personnel, and great Orbitz.com price.

Very friendly room clean and comfortable good breakfast buffet

It was the most emasculate hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Big room close to everything clean room good breakfast friendly staff

It was a nice stay, no issues. Hotel room was clean but it's an older hotel.

very good I was there for a funeral and it was convenient

Was visiting family in the Waxahachie area, and am very glad we found this hotel. We will being staying there again on our next visit.

The staff needs more training on what they do as well as training on how to work with customers. When my husband checked in he had to have them re-clean the bathroom and argued with them before they agreed to do it. We were locked out of our room on the 2nd day because the front desk only keyed it for 1 nt. The breakfast was wonderful and well staffed there:) The room was good and great beds.

We chose the Hampton Inn because it was close to the Scarborough Renaissance Faire as well as being close to town and the freeway. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was full of variety and again helpful staff. My only complaint would be that it's location is a bit confusing to actually get to it. Coming from the north, one must go past the hotel and exit the freeway at the next exit, then go underneath the freeway to a side service road. Once you reach the area where the hotel is, the road splits and it is very easy to go the wrong way which could lead you back on the freeway going north or the freeway going east into town. You must carefully take the right side service road to get to the hotel. After dark it becomes even more confusing.

When we arrived, were a little surprised to see the hallway ceiling sort of collapsed..not a typical entrance but it appeared they had experienced some recent water damage. Our room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. The bath was a huge room with a single sink, standard small tub and shower curtain--not a very good use of the space. The countertop was granite but one side was just exposed construction as if someone forgot to finish covering that end with the granite. I'm not sure what else is actually available in Waxhatchie--but might find out before I stayed here again!

We were in the Mt Peak Tx area for our annual Church Convention and it was wonderful. My sister, Her husband and I used the room. Although we had ask for a non-smoking room there were apparently non available. To get rid of the oder the best you can do is to spray the room with Sol U Mel from Melaleuca. \ Thre were a few problems with the room and hotel which included, a boken toilet seat which was repaired on day three of our 4 day stay, the room with was not cleaned or beds made on day three, key cars which did not work on day three, only 1 waste basket in the room until we found a maid and she took one from another room, Not enough wash cloths some days andd/or bathmat, a thermostat which did not work and had a note on it to use the controls on the A/C heating unit which had only one working speed which was full blast, and notes on it which said it was not controlled by a thermostat, one of the two computers in the business center would not allow internet access, ( I think it had a virus problem), no cups in the room but those were available from the dining area, The staff was friendly and glad to help where they could. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean. Thats my story and I am sticking to it. Not worth the price but may still be one of the better choices in the area.

We were in town to attend the Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival (about five miles away), and we saw lots of other folks in costume at the hotel. The hotel assigned us a handicapped-accessible room. (We didn't need or request one.) It worked out fine and had lots of extra space, though it came with some minor hassles: The closet and bathroom doors were huge, and completely blocked the path to the exit door unless fully closed. The bathroom light-switch was on the outside hinge-side of the bathroom door, and a hassle to reach. The bathtub had extra-low sides, which was fine, but the shower curtain was a regular length and the rod at the usual height, so it was really hard to keep the curtain in the tub. The shower-head was not as nice as the Hampton's usual, and seemed to badly restrict pressure. (Confession: I temporarily unscrewed the hose and had a great shower using just the bare pipe sticking out of the wall.) The room was almost spotlessly clean. (I qualify that with "almost" only because of some stained upholstery on one of the chairs.) The beds were wonderfully comfortably -- they even pleased my super-picky spouse, on whom the titular princess in "The Princess and the Pea" has nothin'. We were impressed with how quiet our room was at night. (We were on the fourth floor -- of four -- but the hotel was quite full and we expected some noise from the other guests.) The breakfast wasn't fantastic, but does involve actual cooked food, and coffee that's vaguely decent. It's way ahead of that offered by most budget hotels. If you're traveling east on 287, getting to the hotel is dead simple. If you're coming from any other direction, I hope you have either a GPS navaid or a perfect sense of direction, because you have some complicated maneuvering on the I-35E / 287 cloverleaf ahead of you. (That's why I checked the "bad location" box -- it's hard to get there, but there's nothing wrong with it once you arrive.) I've always been happy with my stays in Hampton properties, and this was no exception. I'm planning to go back to Scarborough in May, and I will book a room in this same hotel with no hesitation at all.

This hotel tell was great. The staff was wondeful and the rooms really nice and clean.
