AmericInn by Wyndham Park Rapids

There are limited choices for hotels in the Park Rapids area, the Americinn seems to be one of the better choices. They need to focus on providing a better experience for their patrons however; breakfast was all carbs: waffles, cold cereals etc. The pool could have been kept a bit cleaner, but I think there was a birthday party that day so that might have been why it wasn't cleaner. The staff were friendly and helpful, though it seemed that they were understaffed because the front desk person was gone most of the time doing other chores (with her sign up that she'll be back soon). When you have a large group coming in (like ours) it seems that the hotel would know enough to add another staff member or two for a few hours to accommodate a large group.

The room was very clean and I enjoyed the Free upgrade to the suite! Thanks for the great hospitality. The breakfast was good, had lots of choices. I really enjoyed the hot tub. The High speed internet was good as I had some work to do in my room and that worked very well. I wish there was a restaurant closer! I will be back again.

I was in a main floor room, 113. I was only there for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. I did notice a little mold on the ceiling above the shower, but the bathroom itself was clean. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from.

Our room was dirty, mold everywhere, fingernail clippings on the floor, stains on the sheets. Toilet wouldn't flush, Front desk staff is unbelievably rude. No children under 13 allowed in the hotel without a parent at their side (we were not told this when we booked, or certainly could have gone somewhere family friendly). Pool has brown slime covering the bottom. Have to pay in full at check in like some seedy motor court. There aren't a lot of lodging options in PR, but there are better options than this.

We were in park Rapids on a busy weekend and most hotel rooms were taken. Ended up choosing AmericInn. Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping used their key card to let me in room when I was loaded down with luggage. Also, forgot a "My Pillow" ($90) upon departure. Between housekeeping and the front desk, they called in less than 20 minutes and we were able to reclaim the pillow easily. The air conditioning compressor in our room was pumping so loudly that we had to turn it off to sleep, and the breakfast area had several makeshift set-ups due to broken or missing equipment.

We got into town early, only to find that a few things that we had planned to do were closed. The kind woman at the front desk offered to call around town to find out if places were open and asked other staff members for suggestions as well. Once we checked in, she looked at the size of our family and gave us a bit bigger room, which was so nice. The evening front-desk personnel was kind and friendly as well! The beds/pillows were not the most comfortable I've had at a hotel chain, but you can't have a standard bed that will fit every person's preferences. They were fine, overall and the hospitality here absolutely could not be beat!

Very pleased with the service and overall look and feel of the room. Was very please with the amount of room and how clean it was for the money. This stay was very quite and the staff was very nice and helpful on any questions i had.

We have come to this hotel quite a few years. It has always has been quiet and clean with friendly staff. The breakfast is very good with waffles, hard boiled eggs and other breakfast items. Ellie works in the breakfast area, she keeps it clean and well stocked. She is very friendly and has become our friend! Pat works at the front desk, she is very friendly and fun! Kyle is friendly and nice. We are going to continue coming to this AmericInn every year for our annual fishing trip! Thank you!

Americinn was clean, friendly. When I asked for a Friday night fish fry, the check in lady knew just where to send us. Breakfast was awesome. The beds were comfy. The TV and Wi-Fi were functional. (Can't help it when TV broadcasts nothing you want to see.) Only complaint is no elevator and we were on the 2nd floor--not too convenient for 60+ year olds.

I found this hotel clean, but showing some wear and tear. It was quiet for sleeping. It had adequate plug ins for electronics. Good water pressure. Breakfast was typical for hotel like this. We were not here but for a few hours of sleep so it served its purpose.
