Best Western Port Lavaca is a perfectly nice place to stay for a short visit (my wife and I were headed to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge). The rooms are spacious and reasonably well equipped. The price is good. Breakfast is OK but pretty minimal. There is an excellent seafood restaurant on the other side of the highway.

All was ok.

The room was very spacious. All the staff showed great hospitality.

I'm not usually too fussy about small things, but our room smelled strongly of mildew and it was pretty dirty. It was hard to enjoy being in there, even though it was just for one night. I pulled back the curtain and the windows were covered in cobwebs. Not a few in the corner, but lots spreading over half the window. Impossible to miss. I dropped something on the floor and glimpsed under the bed, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Dust, debris, food wrappers, hangers, and the like. Fixtures, grout, caulking, etc. were mostly chipped, sloppy or rattling. I was grateful for the pool and we did use it, but it was rather worn and a bit dirty, plus the pump house was leaking out a small flood everywhere. Definitely thin walls, and could easily hear every hallway conversation, plus listened to the person above me pacing (or whatever) constantly from 6 to 8 am. The front desk staff was nice enough and efficient. Due to Covid, you stand in line to be served breakfast, and the lady serving was hustling as much as possible and did so with a good attitude, but it was of course quite a slow process for her to be making waffles and serving plates for families all by herself. She definitely deserved to have someone helping her.

We were pleasantly surprised to see how much progress had been made to repair damage wreaked by last summer's devastating storms. It takes a lot of effort, manpower, time and corporate $ to get back to a first rate hotel, but we were impressed by your facility's efforts. Our room was spotless. The bed was quite comfortable and the ceiling fan was a real bonus. *wish ALL Best Western rooms had one!

The most disgusting room I could ever have slept in with my husband. I will never go back to this hotel.

Hotel was in the middle of cleanup after Hurricane Harvey. The hotel was running was running dehumidifiers and floor fans constantly. I've had better stays but considering the state of the surrounding community I was fortunate just to have a place to sleep.

Gunk in the coffee maker water holder. They brought me another one. Wi-fi is a joke. Called the 800 number, took 45 mins to get me connected to the network, then it was so slow, none of my pages would load. Kicked me off. Eventually I gave up. The back door of the hotel needs to be adjusted. Every time someone goes in or out, the door loudly, forcefully slams shut, rattling the doors to the rooms. I put a towel in the space between my door and the door jam to keep the rattling down. And there is no carpet. It has slick wood look vinyl. I didn't like it. Overpriced for what it was.

Very comfortable mattress. Staff was very eager to please. I rate this lodging facility tops.

Starting off, parking was not the best to be close. Had to walk a ways to front desk. Reception at front desk could have been much better. Got up to the room and tried for two hours to get on internet with no success. Called down to front desk and no help there either. Went down to pool to sit and not enough chairs for us to sit. Next morning the breakfast was very good. At least it started my day off much better than it ended last night. Oh, the internet worked great in the morning too, now that I was leaving.

all good, no problems, clean, friendly service, decent breakfast.

TOILET BROKEN, TV NOT WORKING, DOOR LOCK FOR INNER ROOM NON EXISTENT, DRYER BROKE, POOL DIRTY. GM CHARGED CARD TWICE!!! AND DIDNT SAY ANYTHING AND WHEN ASKED DIDNT APOLOGIZE JUST SAID "CALL YOUR BANK THEY CAN FIX IT" AND ROACHES TO TOP IT OFF. I THOUGHT I WAS RENTING A SUITE FOR A QUIET FAMILY VACATION, THEY ALLOWED POOL PARTIES WITH GUESTS BRINGING BBQ GRILLS TO THE POOL AND SMOKING OUT THE HOTEL!!! I ONLY BOOKED BEST WESTERN BECAUSE THE HOLIDAY INN WAS FULL. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Room was clean and staff was courteous. The breakfast buffet was OK but not great. Scrambled eggs on one day were warm not hot.

The room was clean, staff friendly. The toilet was hard to flush, Coffee basically instant, full breakfast was inedible.

Fishing, sightseeing and shopping @ Wal Mart Nothing was missing We have stayed once bfore and were impressed enough to come back again.

Nice hotel, but they charged me $25 for a large dog. Next time I will stay at the La Quinta where they do not surprise me with extra fees.

Rooms were clean and spacious, very comfortable. There was a nice continental breakfast. Staff went out of its way to be helpful.
