We stayed at this hotel while attending a field lacrosse tournament which was a 2 minute drive away. The location was perfect and the beds very comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were very friendly at the front desk and were very helpful.
Usual Issues. TV reception is very poor on half the channels. wifi is weak to non existent, relative to the quality, restaurant prices are too high. On the plus side, staff are very friendly the rooms are always clean though twice this year I had to switch rooms due to the strong smell of smoke in my assigned room.
I wanted something close to the airport and this worked perfect. Nice hotel, got a nice one bedroom suite for a great price. Great bed, quiet room. Jose Hombrebueon was awesome at check-in. Great recognition of a lifetime of loyalty to the HHonors program. Nice pool and whirlpool. Only downside is the fitness center is super tiny. I didn't get the chance to take the hotel up on the offer for a free pass to another gym close by. Some good dining choices nearby. The Hot Pot restaurant - Shu Tao Hot Pot - was awesome!
After a long flight, it is nice to find a hotel close to the airport that has reasonable rates and friendly staff. Parking was extra but was close to access from our room. This hotel offered a number of different amenities. It was close to shopping and to access the freeway to go to Vancouver or go south towards the border.
We checked in and out of another Hilton-owned property near the airport ( awful!) within an hour and found refuge here, after asking to SEE the rooms in several other 'airport' area hotels. This Hilton shares a city block ( and parking garage & shuttle service) with a Sheraton & Marriott. We were upgraded to a corner junior suite 706 , great views, over the rooftop pool, just steps from the elevator. Parking was on 2nd floor of garage, handicap garage parking 10 steps from hotel door, & close to elevator. Staff was very accommodating always, with little extras, and if you need a microwave, you can use snack area microwave or they will deliver one to the room. We had lots of space, fridge, two big screen TV's so no bickering over what to watch. Food was OK, a little too much 'trendy' stuff ( chicken noodle soup was broth with about 3 little noodles) but otherwise good, and an easy walk 1/4 block to the corner American Bar & Grill for breakfast or dinner for a change ( in the Marriott). There are 4 'extra' taxes added at checkout of course. All public areas of the hotel ( lobby, bar, restaurant) are always FREEZING cold. Only suggestion was that housekeeping had to be called twice, even on a night with very low number of guests, room hadn't been cleaned yet at 2pm.... so if you want to be sure its done by a certain time, just call, they came immediately. And, the l bathroom light switch operates the exhaust fan which is SO noisy!!!!! The hotels are 10 minutes from the airport, AVOID hotels on the other side of the airport area - they are old & dated, crammed and/or share parking with wacky CAR DEALERS or there are stairs from their parking garage to the hotel floors....and traffic is manic.
Hotel was nice but not luxurious...whereas, pricing was luxurious. Would only stay again if it were less expensive. Rooms and hotel were clean; front desk clerks were polite and friendly; free airport shuttle.
Hotel accommodated our hockey team very well, we had 40 people checking in with big bags of hockey equipment and check-in was smooth and storage was provided for the gear. Room was clean and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Shower had good pressure, all in all it was a great experience.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Very convenient to airport and skytrain, friendly staff, clean, well-appointed rooms. The restaurant was quiet and clean, and the food was excellent. Service very good in the restuarant.
For the price I was happy. Clean, good service, safe neighbourhood and breakfast. I would recommend getting a room up high as the road is busy and due to the window in my room not closing properly it was noisy. Still overall happy stay
Worst experience ever. Internet is awful even though I paid for it. FD agent said we know that is our problem. No resolution. Room had hair in the shower and sink. Threw away cloths hanger and never replaced.
