The perfume smell in the lobby was WAY too strong. The heater in my room came on full blast at 1:30 in the morning and woke me up in a sweat. I couldn't figure out how to turn it down/off, so had to unplug it. The lights in the room were also confusing to operate. The shower pressure wasn't great and changing the water temperature was also confusing. Sorry for the complaints, otherwise things were fine!

This was my first time staying at the Union Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted. Although the king room (so called Swanky) was small and somewhat dark with the window looking out onto another wall of bedroom windows, the room was quiet and clean and cozy. The lobby is welcoming and spacious. The highlight is the hotel's walkability to the theatres, to Rogers, and to Union Station and the UP Express. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
