We booked a room for 7 nights. When we arrived, we were not told that housekeeping did not clean your room daily. We had to ask for clean towels and we were told by Tiffani that housekeeping was there only until noon and we had to get up early to get our room cleaned while we were on vacation. We did have the do not disturb on the door one day and no one came back to see if we needed anything. This is an extend stay hotel and the worse housekeeping ever. We were shocked being a Marriott silver member, this is how we were treated. Also we were told that we could not stay in the room while it was cleaned due to OSHA regulations. When we asked to see the OSHA regulations certification, there was not one, so they lied over and over again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY.
Arrived to the hotel, which was surrounded by several hotel and restaurant. Walmart was across the street, which was good. I was frightened at seeing 2 big horrendous dogs standing out with the owner at the front door,so I stayed in the car until they moved. Obviously, this is a pet friendly location with no size limits for pets. The printer was out of order in the business center, which consisted of a printer and one small computer, nothing special. Katina was ok at check-in. The room was roomy, and nice. During the night, the HVAC wouldn't lower below 80 degrees. Called Shawn at the front desk, and she said she couldn't imagine why it wasn't working, but that was it. We slept hot. The morning attendant, Karen Green, met me with a smile. I told her the problem and she called Eric to see if he could do something about the issue. She went so far as to say that she would get it checked out, and credit some off my bill for inconvenience purposes, which I appreciated very much. Breakfast area was small, and you had to look for what you wanted, as it was scattered around. The breakfast host was friendly too. Overall, the room décor was nice, noise level was quiet, no airplane noise noted. We were given a late check out of 1:00 PM, rather than 12 noon. However, Shawn didn't put that information in either. Karen on the day shift definitely made up for Shawn's low energy and lack of concern for our room issue. With that being said, my Marriott mobile app was not functioning for me either, but that is not the hotel's issue. I think all of the Savannah hotels are too expensive (190.00) including tax on a Saturday is quite high, not just at this hotel, but all of the surrounding locations. The area was nice, and I would stay again if I had to while traveling to this area in the future. The outside appearance was good, too. Thanks again goes to Karen for her service and attention to our room issue.
Nice hotel, conveniently located near Savannah, and reasonably priced. Suites are a good size. We stayed in a 2 queen room with pull out sofa. The sofa bed was not great, but adequate. The room also had a small desk area and wet bar area. Nice breakfast selections included free as well. Free Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay here again!
This was a great hotel. This hotel has a full refrigerator, dish washer, stove top cooking. It is spacious and clean. It's 5 mins from the outlet mall and 20 - 25 mins from downtown. It has everything you need in a hotel especially if you're staying long. We had so much room. It has a toaster and everything. The front desk lady was nice and pleasant. Everything you would expect from a Marriott Hotet.
This was a last minute reservation as our other hotel in the same chain waited until the day before our visit to notify us that they have not had working air conditioning for four days. After less than perfect customer service from Marriott in trying to get a last minute reservation and resolve my issue with the hotel we originally booked for, Kritin (I am sure I am misspelling her name) was professional and made a terrible day instantly better. Our room was very spacious...we had two queen beds....a full kitchen, and dining table/working space for two. In turn, our room had a chair/ottoman. The room has some serious wear and tear. My bed comforter had several large holes in it and the "circle" that mounts the shower head to the wall was now torn away from the wall, allowing me to see a large hole in the wall. In turn, the screws mounting the shower rod were loose. Bed was a little too soft for my liking, but given my other option was a bed in a hotel without air....I will take the soft bed. Thank you Kritin for your kindness and professionalism.
We were assigned a one bedroom suite. It consisted of a very spacious living room/office/kitchen and a separate, much smaller bedroom. There was no place for our luggage in the bedroom so we unpacked in the living room. (There were two closets: one in the kitchen area and one off the bathroom.) Only when we got into bed did we realize that it was a queen size and not the king size we had paid for and was clearly stated on our reservation conformation. We might have been able to manage it except for the mattress which was very firm around the edges and very soft in the middle. We certainly did not want to move to another room in the middle on the night. My wife slept in the bed and I tried to sleep in the armchair with the ottoman. While it had been comfortable enough for watching TV, it was not for sleeping. I did not mention the problem it to the person at checkout because, having had very little sleep, I was definitely in a grouchy mood. When I got home I cancelled the reservation I had made for this hotel for later in the summer. BTW on the paperwork I was given, there was no indication showing how to contact the management.
Our stay at Towneplace Suites Savannah Airport was great, it was a much needed get away for my husband and myself. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was good and the staff was amazing.I enjoyed talking to Rita at breakfast and Tiffany the Operations Manager is awesome. They went above and beyond to make sure we was comfortable and having fun while in Savannah. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family members.
The hotel offers a free shuttle and was at the airport within 10 minutes of my request. The trip to he hotel was around 5 minutes. Check-in was quick and there were no issues. For having Platinum status with Marriott, you are allowed one free item from "the pantry." That is everything from a candy bar to a tube of toothpaste to a frozen meal or even a beer. Wifi is free. ROOM (#312) The room was mostly clean. There were some carpet stains and also a cracker sitting on the floor in the entryway. If you aren't familiar with the hotel chain, it's more of an extended stay hotel (but doesn't have to be) that provides appliances and such. There was a king bed with two night stands (provided drawers for storage), pullout sofa couch, TV on top of another storage cabinet, a large desk with drawers and a cabinet with shelves. There were 5 electrical outlet spaces available for electronics. The thermostat worked well. KITCHEN The kitchen is sort of an open concept along with the rest of the room. The kitchen shows some wear. My bigger issue was when I pulled out a fork, it was covered in old dried-on food. TWICE. It provided a stove, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, sink, coffee maker, plates/bowls, pots/pans, silverware, toaster, and dishwasher. There were 4 more spaces available for electronics. BATHROOM The main issue with the sink was if I left the water on for more than a short period, the water wouldn't drain and would continue to back-up. Also, with the shower, the water did not get hot enough (and I am not one to take scalding showers). The bathroom itself had a toilet, sink, shower/bathtub combination, storage drawers, and a hairdryer. GYM/HOT TUB When I was there, the hot tub was broken and not available for use. The gym was small and cramped. The phone reception is poor in the gym and I couldn't even stream music on my phone. The gym only has 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, a bench, and dumbbells up to 50 pounds. BREAKFAST I didn't get a chance to enjoy the breakfast. I left about 5:30 AM and was told it didn't start until 7 AM (which seems to be pretty late for breakfast to start).
Convenient to I-95 and Airport, with nice staff, but worn and a bit grungy. Near good restaurants and shopping, and acceptable to crash for a night, but you wouldn't want to spend time in the room. Breakfast is passable.
We wanted to go to the Mighty 8th in Pooler, GA so the location suited us well. Room was very big and nice but a cigarette smell was coming through the vent in the washroom unfortunately. Although this is a non smoking motel, unfortunately their are some people that don't care about rules and regulations and the rest of us non smokers have to endure their stink. The room is excellent, has a lg fridge and even has a small table to use for in room eating. I would go back and hopefully this time not be faced with someone who smokes in their room
