as others have reported there is a peeling paint issue in a few spots on walls but that could be more of an improperly prepped surface prior to painting. The paint was newer and clean looking. Overall the room was very clean, the bath room was spotless. Very easy access to downtown Savannah for dinner. Excellent value for the money and I would stay here again

Tuesday, March 14, 2017 - 6:50pm. - It's been a grueling day on the road. We had left out of Kinston, NC around 10:00 am and were headed to Pooler, GA. Well, that plan didn't work out. The prices of motels there were absolutely outrageous regardless of what the events were. So someone directed us to Richmond Hill where the prices were a little more reasonable. As we came off the highway, we saw the Quality Inn. Well, we had had good and bad experiences with Quality Inn, but exhaustion won out and we were so tired that we figured, it's here, now so let's see what they want for a room. Our hostess for the night was Kesha (not sure about the spelling). She was professional, courteous, articulate, specific, gracious and understanding and was willing to accommodate our needs to the very best of her ability and it was genuine. Note to Quality Inn Owner/Manager - Keep Kesha, she's a jewel. After determining what kind of room we wanted, she gave us the key to 129 and we asked if we could see it first. She said yes and keyed it for us. We went back and looked at the room. Overall, it looked good and we would have been willing to take the room, but when we walked out and closed the door, the door was extremely loose with a good size gap in it. You could literally stand there and shake the door when closed. I felt unsafe with that and with all the construction workers around. I noticed standing there, waiting for my husband to close the door to 129 that 131 was empty. It was the last room and the maintenance closet was on the other side. I liked that. So when we got back to the desk I asked Kesha "Can we have 131?" She hesitated and then said "Sure you can". So, with the keys for 131 in hand, we went to the room. Here are where the problems began. Overall, it looked good (see attached pics). It was after getting into the room where we noticed things. 1. When the heater shut off you could hear water running inside the unit. 2. The tall floor lamp beside the chair did not work. You couldn't turn it on by the pull chain or the floor switch. 3. The toilet had a very weak flush. 4. The refrigerator was set to very low cool (1) 5. The phone had a persistent flashing light on it and we had to unplug it. 6. The alarm clock went off at 6am (we didn't think we needed to check it before going to bed) 7. The TV had MAYBE a half dozen channels 8. The wall switch where the hair dryer plugs in didn't work and the reset button didn't work 9. The mirror on the bathroom door was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in I don't know how long 10. The shower/tub drain was clogged and we had to clear it. We found a large amount of hair, a razor blade and a razor cap 11. The water had a HEAVY bleach/chlorine smell to it (needless to say, I didn't use it to shower) 12. The highway traffic was loud and could be heard easily in the room. As the traffic was going over the bridge, it sounded like constant thudding, which was annoying. 13. My husband tried the breakfast and wasn't impressed at all. The sausage had no flavor, the eggs were cold before he could sit down. You aren't allowed to take the food out of the breakfast room. The coffee was terrible (possibly due to the water in general). The grits were okay with butter and pepper added. 14. The microwave in the room made a loud noise when turned on. The problem was with the plate inside it, it didn't fit or was the wrong one, etc. But it made a scrapping noise as it turned. 15. The outside lights are bright and the curtains weren't able to close enough to shut out the light. We had to clip the curtains closed at two different places to try and close out the light. But even with that the light poured in from underneath and on the sides of the curtains. It made it quite bright in the room. The good part of things were.... 1. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. I had a good nights sleep 2. My husband did shower and said that the water pressure was acceptable to him, but that's how he discovered the clog in the tub. 3. And finally Kesha Due to the position of the room in relation to the highway, even with the walls being concrete, you could still hear the loads shifting of the trucks as they were going over the seams in the bridge. Due to the fact that we requested parking in front of the room, some of these things were unavoidable and could not be helped. BUT, they still took away from a quiet night - that's not the motel's fault. NOTE - Overall, the room was aesthetically clean, but it was in dire need of some maintenance, see above list. Other than that, we would most likely, if need be stay here again. The room technically was clean, but some things had been overlooked. We weren't disappointed in our stay and trust that the management at some point in the future will see about these needs in Room 131.

The room was in desperate need of updating and cleaning. I don't know if all rooms are like the one we had or if the customers with a pet are relegated to the inferior rooms. The floors where not clean so that you would not want to walk on them with your bare feet. The clothes hanging bar as well as the bottoms of the door frames where all rusted. The entry door was close to falling off and you could see the outside from the inside through the gaps between the door and the door frame. Paint was peeling off the wall in several places and there were no pictures or art on the walls (kinda like a prison cell). The "lounge" chair in the room was so tattered and dirty we didn't want to put anything on it, and certainly not sit on it. Other than these few things, the room was wonderful! The check-in staff person was far less than friendly, like we were an imposition to be there. The check-out person was very friendly and pleasant.

The bathroom had a dirty washcloth hung over the shower curtain. When someone leaves something like that behind when cleaning it really makes you wonder what else was missed or skipped !! The bed was very comfortable tho.

The lady at the frone desk in the morning was rude as hell are toilet ran over at 7 after i busted my butt it was cold we stood out side and the smoke must of blew back in she accused us of smokin in the room and said the shi! All over the floor. Dah hateful lady my husband done went and said that she moved is to another room then threatened to call the cop lol really lady i am still tryin to get ahold of the owner. She does not need a job in hospitality. She was in jeans her hair was not even comb and she needs to give that jib to someone who wants it dont stay there. Days inn is nice and much cheaper plus the staff dresses and acts professional

Rooms were run down. Price was too high. Breakfast was minimal. Do not stay here. Staff was friendly. Beds were horrible, my back hurt in the am and still had to drive 7 hours the next day. Not a good stop.

Very disappointed. Mirror dusty, sink needs to be replaced, dirty signs on counter, plus so much really nasty details (stained toilet, stained tile in shower) hole in wall where cable wire enters room. The beds seem fine. The TV had very bad sound. We paid too much for this room with all these issues.

I was reluctant to stop here but it wasn't bad. Rejected this place 2 years ago. But everything was booked and we gave it a 2nd chance. It was reasonably clean. Yucky carpet and chair, but the beds were clean, bug free and comfy. Very nice full breakfast. Lots of choices. Ok in a pinch. Fair price

Stayed for my Birthday weekend, due to Savannah hotels being out of our budget. But this hotel still charged $100 a night and it was just gross. The front desk area was run down and it smelled like cigarette smoke even though there was a no smoking sign. It also just smelled bad like a public bathroom. Our room was gross it had what looked like split coffee or some kind of dark liquid on all over the walls and it smelled terrible. The pillow cases were just nasty and some even had what looked like boogers on it! We always bring our own pillows anyways and ended up throwing all their pillows on the floor. The bathroom was gross and smelled terrible. The door handle to the bathroom was just hanging from the door. There is also a Wings type of restaurant attached to the hotel and they had an out door eating area and people were shouting and laughing well into midnight. Will not return to this hotel.

a nice place for a stop. pool area is clean and nice. if you want to go for a beer...there is a sportsbar next to it. we had a quite nice meal-but the waitress was realy a bit....sorry leazy...... she had nothing to do but did not take a way the empty dishes even she past us 10 times with empty hands......maybe the southern going easy....? the hotel is o.k. for a night and if you want to enjoy a!
