Atton El Bosque

Great staff

We stayed at this hotel twice during our visit to Chile and Argentina. On both occasions we really enjoyed the stay. The Atton is located very near the newest chopping center in Santiago, there are several top restaurants within walking distance and the staff could not be better - they took care of e very little issue that came up, and always with a smile and kind word. We'll definitely go back to this hotel on the next trip. The only downside we saw at this time is the construction going on around the hotel and a couple of floors of the hotel are being remodeled, but the work did not cause us any undue problems.

Hotel Santiago

Management issues

We had booked a suite on the first floor. When we arrived @ 4:00 p.m. but the room was not ready. We went up to the lounge for refreshments. No one took my credit card to cover incidentals, despite the fact I offered it. The next day I received a note that they didn't have the credit card. I called reception and gave them my card number. It still was not resolved because at breakfast the next day in the lounge I was asked yet again for my credit card. There was a lot of construction going on on the first floor despite a written assurance that I received from the manager prior to arriving that renovations wouldn't impact the the area where the suites were located. It was quite dusty and there were chemical fumes permeating the first flloor. One afternoon we arranged through the concierge for our driver to drive us to Cerro San Cristobal and wait for us while we saw the statuee but he didn't show up. We got a different driver but he was not aware of our itinerary and the trick that was need to get up to the top.
