Crowne Plaza Santiago

The hotel is well located within easy walking distance to the Plaza del Armas in the city centre. The rooms are large and comfortable and the pool and gym area are excellent. The reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that the hotel is starting to show its age, there’s isn’t much around the hotel in terms of good quality dining and the prices for services including meals in the hotel are excessive for this quality hotel. I get that hotels have a captive audience but the charges for room service and mini bar combined with adding a 10% service tip seemed a stretch for us.

As is well known Chile is not known for low prices and that is true for hotels, restaurants, etc. As for the Crowne Plaza Santiago the secret is to reserve and pay up front and you will get a good rate. The hotel is very good and was renovated some time ago since my wife and I were there 3 uyears ago and the restaurant was different. This time around we had Christmas Eve dinner and it was excellent! Another good thing about this hotel is its location: central and near to the neighborhood of Rastarria where you can find a large selection of good restaurants.

Cannot fault the staff, location, service at the CP Santiago - thats why its my number one place to stay in SCL. Left a case while I continued trip to Uruguay and then return to SCL. Door staff always there with a hello..... But the Wifi in room this time was poor to hardly usable, stand in the corridor thou (19th floor) and it was fast (obviously in sight of a router box at the end off the corridor) - and thats where you loose a star this time. On this trip stayed in 3 different hotels and the faster was the smaller branded one in Colonia Uruguay (see separate reviews) so the CP needs to improve the internet option in rooms. Apart from that I have no complaints. I will be back and recommend anyone to stay here because you cannot fault the location/staff/service Sorry I had to take a star off you this time

We stayed at CPH for 4 nights. From the time we checked in the hospitality was excellent. Located centrally, most of the attractions are walking distance. Local Shopping and restaurants are few blocks from the Hotel. I would highly recommend CPH to any tourists visiting Santiago, Chile.

We stayed for 4 nights. We had an executive level room on the 21st floor. It was a two room suite. It came with a happy hour from 6:30 to 9:30 PM on the 22 floor. Great view from both floors. The concierge at the happy hour was excellent. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The food in the Trafalger bar was also excellent. I definitely would stay there again.

We stayed there for 4 nights during a trip to Chile, coming and going between different destinations within the country. The staff was great - very accommodating to our requests, friendly and professional. The rooms (and the hotel generally) were clean and well-appointed. The included breakfast was very good; lots of options. Nice facilities; pool, tennis courts, gym, etc. We left luggage there while we went off for several days. No problem. We began to feel like it was a home away from home. Close to both Bellavista and Lastarria. Each room has a minibar and safe, and the shower is very nice. For a reasonably-priced hotel, it's quite good. We'd definitely stay there again.

I visited Crowne Plaza in Santiago enroute to Peru. My stay was smooth. Quite pleasant. Hotel restaurant served decent buffet food and had a separate premises for out of meals use. Good service and life music comes to my mind. Room was clean, kept in certain standard. Can't complain. Hotel made sure residents are safe.

Stayed here a couple of days right in the city centre, good walking distance to all attractions, nice atmosphere very helpful staff who could not do enough for us, internet was quite good big hotel 22 floors of rooms

We had a nice room with beautiful city view. Breakfast was ok. Service friendly. We didn't use much of the amenities, so nothing to say about it. I would say checkout time 3 pm is not particularly convenient. However while we had breakfast the room was ready for us anyway, which was very nice of them.

I stayed here on a business trip to Santiago in November 2017. This hotel has a great location right in the middle of one of the best areas in Santiago and has great views of the mountains and city. You can walk to many of the Santiago attractions and the river nearby is a great place for running and walking. My room was well appointed with a very comfortable king sized bed and a spectacular view. It was quiet and roomy. The bathroom was also very nice, with a great shower/tub. The carpet seemed to be a bit worn but not terribly so. My only complaints about the room were the lack of available electrical outlets and consistently slow and unreliable WiFi/Internet. There were three different WiFi networks and all three did not work properly, forcing me to Hot Spot my cell phone in order to conduct business. The on-site restaurant offers very good food in a buffet style layout; lunch in particular was excellent with many different choices including great seafood options. Staff were consistently excellent, even remembering me by name on several occasions. In summary, I would recommend this hotel but definitely be prepared for poor Internet. Hopefully they will take steps to rectify this problem before my next trip to Santiago. Otherwise, it's a great hotel at a very reasonable price.
